"Sanford and Son" was one of those shows that the whole family watched in the day. Age 79.

Unfortunate to lose 'Prompt Lamont'! He was the perfect character to mediate Fred's antics!

Couple of years ago I saw a short interview with him in which he discussed some of his books about Christian faith. He also was a Vietnam vet.

He was great on Sanford and Son. One of the best theme songs too.

When I saw the thread title I was thinking of the character Grady Wilson on Sanford and Son, didn't know Demond's first name was Grady.

I just edited the title to help a bit. You're right NOCkid, we knew him as Demond Wilson in the cast credits.
