Really enjoyed this one. It was much deeper than the little clip it you are shown on Netflix leads one to believe.
I think I would have enjoyed growing up in the 50s and 60s also think I would like to live in a swampy intercostal are for awhile.

I certainly thought it was worth the 2 hours of our time.

The trailer gives a bit better idea

I enjoyed this movie very much.

I had a Tom Sawyer childhood growing up on a river in the woods.

It was good

The wife and daughter recommended it, I was thinking it was going to be a sappy love story. Wrong!

Same. Think I rented it on disc a year ago. Was one of the better films (not saying much) in 2023.

Good movie, I dare say it's underrated as it has gotten a number of accolades when it first came out. It's a worthwhile watch if you're interested in a well developed drama with a touch of southern gothic.

Was an excellent movie, had seen the preview but not inclined to watch it until seeing the positive feedback here.

We enjoyed it, thanks y'all.

Watched it last night and thoroughly enjoyed it.

I was told the book was even better...by far.

I was at my son's place and his wife had just finished the book. She offered it to me and I read it over a weekend. Good story and as usual had a lot more detail than the movie. So it seemed like the movie skipped some stuff. Still a good watch and I enjoyed that as well.
