I'm currently reading through the book series, then will queue up both series for a rewatch.

Almost done with The Last Coyote & picked up Trunk Music tonight.
3.5 down, 21 to go

Put it on my watch list.

Hope this season is watchable, I bailed on last season about 2 episodes in.

Looking forward to it!

This is a book series that I need to pursue, also.

The first couple took me a bit to adjust to. A different writing style than I'm used to. He can be very descriptive at times, almost overly so.
But the books have been enjoyable so far, makes me look forward to rewatching to original series, as some of the stuff from the first few books I don't remember being in the show.

I didn't realize they were cancelling it, that is unfortunate. Though Legacy isn't as good as the original, I was hoping it would stick around and find it's stride.

I have started it. The more I see of the daughter, the less I like her.

It's hard to see her as a badass LAPD ladycop when she got eaten by zombies when she was 11.

I agree with the comments about the Daughter.
She was good until she became a LA Cop.
As a Cop she is unbelievable, a horrible miss casting.

Is she still the unbelievable Super Maddie? I seem to recall her being a bit overpowered for her size

Maddie‘s always been kind of a weird one, but there’s a sequence when Bosch and some former comrade in Afghanistan were at a funeral, then they go out for drinks afterwards. The three of them. The two guys are swapping war stories, and Maddie‘s laughing along, then Bosch goes down the bar to say hi to somebody, and this comrade proceeds to tell Maddie about some story (that he thinks has a good outcome, and they love Bosch for doing it) where Bosch went into a cave to interrogate some IED maker, got the information he wanted, then blew up the cave with the guy in it. Maddie is mortified.
Really?

^^^Yes, I thought the same thing. Appalled that her father ended a terrorist? The "Bosch" series was much better with far less Maddie, especially Maddie the police officer.

We watched the first four over the weekend.

The daughter storyline is weak & unrealistic, IMO.

I miss Lance Reddick.
