Motley Crue show was canceled [our volunteer booth, not the actual show] so I missed that one.

Took my oldest to San Antonio for her birthday, My Chemical Romance at the Alamodome. The Mars Volta opened. Not a bad show, but TMV doesn't really work live in an arena with poor acoustics, and they didn't play much of their older stuff.

Just did Thursday and Friday at Bourbon and Beyond in Louisville. Mumford and Sons was fantastic, as was Of Monsters and Men, Lindsey Stirling, and The Fray.

Of Monsters and Men is on my 'to see' list.
Saw the Fray back in 2005, they opened for Ben Folds.

I do enjoy some Lindsey Sterling as well, she came to Houston but it was across town and on a weeknight

Last week: Cheap Trick & ZZ Top. Both were great.

This Friday: Hayley Williams. Don't even recall signing up for this one.

Demon Hunter 20th anniversary of Storm of Gates of Hell tonight with Wolves at the Gate and Bloodlines. Saw DH last September and really looking forward to Bloodlines and I’ve been wanting to see WATG also but missed them a few months back. DH is playing Storm the Gates of Hell in its entirety and other songs from the 2002-2005 era.

Saw Tedeschi last year. Didn't know what to expect going in [worked concessions at the show] but really enjoyed it. Would see them again.

This show was mostly noise, if there were lyrics, I didn't hear many.
16k attendance, largely liberal crowd, based on attire & attitude, but no bad customers.
Glad I didn't pay to see it

Later this month: Three Days Grace & I Prevail on 10/25.
Looking forward to this one.

tonight,

Del McCoury at the Beacon in Hopewell,

probably the 10th or 11th time I have seen him,

typical fantastic show,
his backup band (the Traveling McCoury's) are tight, and for an 87 yr old dude, he can still play and sing,

Going to Raleigh next month to see Imminence for the 5th time.

Others attended earlier this year:

Apocalyptica, Lindsey Stirling, Halestorm (surprisingly good show)

Frozen Soul, Fleshgod Apocalypse, Avatar (one of the best shows you'll ever watch)

Scene Queen (trashiest thing I've ever watched), Polaris, Electric Callboy (so much fun)

within the past year or so:

LANDMVRKS
Jiluka
Alien Weaponry
SpiritWorld
