Yeah, but I almost caught one about twice as big. Fought him for six hours. Wouldn’t you know, he broke the line JUST AS I was getting him the boat. You should have seen it. I wish he wasn't long arming it. Awesome fish but it's really hard to get a perspective of it because of him intentionally trying to make it look even bigger than it is. | |||

If it was caught in a tournament it will be released back into the water. That, and large bass like that are not good eating. The only bass I kept and ate were 2 lbs or less. Beautiful fish. Few largemouth bass that heavy have ever been caught in Texas. The 50th largest on record was 15.45 lbs, so that may well be a top 100 fish. | |||
