I'm posting this one because I saw it as a kid and have always remembered it.

This was an ABC Movie of the week, aired on September 11, 1974, making it an ABC Wednesday Movie of the Week. Younger people will likely not know that in the late 1960s and early 1970s, networks produced and broadcast their own movies. these made-for-TV movies were generally pretty good entertainment and my family watched them regularly.

Andy Griffith, Sam Bottoms and James Best. This is pretty good, sort of like The Most Dangerous Game, but, really, this is mainly a trip down memory lane for those who remember these movies.

These films were 90 minutes as broadcast, and minus the commercials, they make for a quick watch.

I vaguely remember this one, haven't clicked on the clip to watch yet, but I will tonight.

Like you, I used to watch these ABC Movie of the Week, Duel directed by Spielberg was the most memorable one. I also vaguely remember this one, written by the same guys who created my other TV "movies" that I still watch today, Columbo.

Thanks for posting. I remember watching this as a little kid on network TV. Andy Griffith played a great bad guy and the ending was very well written and satisfying.

I remember some good made for TV movies from my childhood (80's.)

One that my dad had recorded and we had on VHS was The Nightstalker (1972) starring Darrin McGavin as Kolchak.

Another was The Canterville Ghost (1986) starring Alyssa Milano and John Gielgud.
