A classy guy (and great driver) who demonstrated how to deal with adversity and not complain. He's been mostly out of public view since he was seriously injured at a charity event several years ago. ___________________________ Avoid buying ChiCom/CCP products whenever possible.

This is a well written article about Alex Zanardi's racing career and life story: https://racer.com/2026/05/02/alex-zanardi-1966-2026 Always hard charging and inspired, he was seemingly unstoppable, both on and off the track! He will be missed and we are diminished by his loss...Godspeed Alex! ____________________________________________________________ If Some is Good, and More is Better.....then Too Much, is Just Enough !! I always followed him before his accident and after. Sorry to hear he has died.

| I swear I had something for this |
Alex Zanardi was a lot like Evander Holyfield in that anyone that counted him out before time was up knew nothing about heart and determination. However, I've been concerned about this day for quite a while because there had been no news about him from his last injury getting hit by a truck. It had to happen eventually, but Alex Zanardi wrote the book on overcoming the odds. He was very much a victim of The Split just like Greg Moore who very much deserved to fight for a win at the Indianapolis 500. YouTube has also had tributes to Zanardi posted as well. Here's a few of them: https://x.com/AstonMartinF1/st.../2050604072550490316 A lot of the paddock this weekend are displaying "Ciao Alex 1966-2026" decals on their cars. He just reached the finish line. I'm also going to leave a clip of Lausitzring 2003 when Zanardi came back after his crash to finish the 13 laps his missed in 2001. RIP.

Such an inspiration. A slow but sad end after his bike accident, the body can only take so much but his mind was able to overcome.
