Taxi Driver has the best ending due to it's artistic nature and the ending is open to many interpretations. The scene looking down from above at the apartment will be a classic for 100 years. .

Good list and I can't argue with any of those. I'll add Mad Men. I can't think of a better ending to the epic series. Men fight for liberty and win it with hard knocks. Their children, brought up easy, let it slip away again, poor fools. And their grandchildren are once more slaves. -D.H. Lawrence

Good film noir has great endings. Although not well known I enjoyed Robert Mitchum and Jean Simmons in Angel Face. Treasure of the Sierra Madre is another great one.

I know this is going to sound dumb and immature but: "A Dog's Purpose" Let the flaming begin. If you're goin' through hell, keep on going. Don't slow down. If you're scared don't show it. You might get out before the devil even knows you're there. NRA ENDOWMENT LIFE MEMBER

I've agreed with so many offerings in this thread. I didn't expect to find this one though. I'm quite fond of foreign movies. This one this year has probably claimed the top spot on my list. I even started a thread about it. As brutal as the last half hour of this movie is, the very ending was just perfect. Year V
