You don't underestimate Billy Ann. This is without a doubt my favorite scene of the first season. I'm watching this a second time and picking up on more this time around. This is one of the better shows out there at this time. [/url] by [url=https://, _________________________ OH, Bonnie McMurray!

He's actually pretty much a stock character, the war vet who can't hack it in civilian life and hangs out with his old comrades because they're the only ones who can understand him from the common experience. Note the scene in a later episode where they're going to rescue their mother, and he tells Flynne "let me do the one thing I'm good at". The particular difference here is just, as he says earlier, the USMC having specifically recruited previous close friends from small towns who would be familiar enough to make good use of the "haptic" implants in small unit action. So the entire team is still in the same backwater place afterwards, because that's where all of them came from.

I've finished to two books out of the Jackpot Trilogy by William Gibson. Enjoyed the first Peripheral. Book did some things better, and the show did some things better. The second book Agency fell far short. Hope he came wrap this up better with the third book. _________________________ OH, Bonnie McMurray!

I just binge-watched the series and I liked it. I wasn't a fan of Chloe Grace Moretz so went into it with some trepidation but I hadn't seen anything of hers in years. I was pleasantly surprised by her performance--and was a little smitten by her southern accent. I have to say, though, that the British characters held my attention much more than the American ones. I can only hope they renew the series. I enjoy the series and I am looking forward to hopefully a new season. I'd also hope that we start getting some new William Gibson stuff as I only recently discovered him.

Sorry, I need some help understanding the ending of S1. I think I understand what happened physically. But how was the data then transferred from where it was to the new destination? And also, how is the peripheral being operated after the ending event? Unless I'm misunderstanding the end event? "Wrong does not cease to be wrong because the majority share in it." Honestly, I couldn't tell you. I was barely able to stay awake when I watched the finale even though I was thoroughly riveted during every other episode. I'd have to watch it again. If I had one issue with the show, it's that everyone and their sister in town knew about the war being fought from the future and everyone was totally cool with it after a simple explanation. At the moment Flynne created a new stub, there was a second timeline branch-off with her and everything previous in it. It was branched AFTER THE DATA DROP INTO HER HEAD IN 2023. Cherise can’t see the new stub. Flynne then killed herself with Connors help in the old stub. At the end, she drops into her peripheral from the new stub where she is still alive and still has the data. _____________________________ Pledge allegiance or pack your bag! Ah. I think I get it. I have a headache now but I think I followed it. "Wrong does not cease to be wrong because the majority share in it." L.Tolstoy "A government is just a body of people, usually, notably, ungoverned." Shepherd Book

The sad part is that, in the old stub, Connor has to live with himself for killing Flynne…and explain it to Burton. A lot of leftover sadness for sure. The part that gets me is that, technically, Burton and Connor still have headsets and therefore access to the peripherals. But, so does Connor and Burton in the new stub??? Hmmmmmm..how’s that work? _____________________________ Pledge allegiance or pack your bag! The book doesn't end that way. I suspect it was done that way for a second season to feature the same main characters. The second book Agency deals with a separate stub with different characters. Same future characters. Flynn is mentioned a couple of times in passing. Connor is very much a part of the second book but I won't reveal how. _________________________ OH, Bonnie McMurray!
