My wife and I have been watching it for about two years now, started at S1, E1 and got caught up to the present.

It's starting to feel like the show has run out of steam or jumped the shark as they say which I guess is inevitable.

I miss the days when it was about an actual rookie just starting off as a cop at age 40 or so. Not it seems like everyone on the show is a secret-squirrel-super-high-speed-Navy-SEAL-cop.

Just bad writing I guess.

Mrs. 'Hook still does. On the rare occasion that I stop in the living room for a few minutes to see how well the characters are aging, it is obvious the writers ran out of original storylines a few years ago. Apparently enough people keep watching it so they keep producing it.

I started to check out toward the end of Season 6 and quit halfway through the premiere of Season 7.

I've been binge watching it. it seems to me they're ready to retire the show with the captain moving on, the wife wanting to move to DC, etc.

"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Viktor Frankl, Man's Search for Meaning, 1946.

Gave up on it quite a while ago (at least 3 years). It was entertaining early on.

The 40-year old Rookie has now turned into a 45-year old Training Officer for new POC-rookies. The DEI is strong in this series.
