I gave it a chance but they really stretched it out with way too many flashbacks.

We tried, my wife is a huge NCIS fan but this show plain SUCKED. The tone and feel was far different than NCIS, the language was way too crude as they never spoke like that on NCIS and now they're dropping F-bombs every other sentence?

We knew it wouldn't make it.

Simply put, there is no NCIS (in any city or country) without Gibbs.

This is true! I haven't watched since Gibbs left.

I don't mind the new players on NCIS currently; infact, I was pretty tired of Gibbs by the time he left and thought the change was a good move.

As for Tony and Ziva, a spin-off might have worked if they had done it within a year or two of his character leaving the series, but not nearly 10 years later. The spin-off previews didn't look like the production took into consideration both actors are and look much older now. I decided to just avoid the spin-off altogether. Looks like I didn't miss much...

We suffered through it. The suspension of belief required to accept the various plot elements was far too frequent and far too fanciful.

It was a mashup of MI and 007. The young daughter emotional anchor was ineffective in bringing Tony and Ziva truly together. Teasing us with Wedding garb only to find these as costumes for an operation was cruel.

The absence of any character ncis connections made it impossible to truly enjoy. By this I mean no shots of the old gang, offering clandestine assistance, were made.

But, there were ncis elements duplicated. Substituting a female technical wizard for Abby was obvious but she offered no personal distinction other than her love interest. Having a Russian(?) programmer ss a substitute for McGee was obvious also. The friendly competition between the two reached back to the same ncis understory.

For me, too little emotion and too much techno-fancy.

I love NCIS but I couldn't finish this series. The chemistry just wasn't the same as when they were on NCIS.
