No idea what it does to a man. I've killed savages; I've killed plenty of 'em - 'cause that's my fucking job.

Icarus flew too close to the sun, but at least he flew.

One of Christian Bale’s best. Rosamund Pike is outstanding as well.

Absolutely love “Hostiles.” Incredible performances by everyone in it. When I think of the final shot, I like to think that part of his motivation is the solemn fulfillment his duty - the promise he made to her in the field. It really is low key an outstanding film.

First time I saw it I was underwhelmed. Visually impressive, well acted and directed, but it felt like an incomplete movie and that it really missed the mark.

I watched it again a couple weeks ago and enjoyed it a lot more than the first time. But still... it feels like something's missing and I'm not sure what.

It needs to be watched in a dark room with proper audio. On 4k blu ray on a system it’s a masterpiece.

What am I doing? I'm talking to an empty telephone
