Question about Hulu cutting out scenes Login/Join

We ditched cable last month and signed up for Hulu (Commercial free). My wife and I have been watching Son's of Anarchy and it appears there are scenes missing. We'll get through an episode and onto the next and the prelude will show scenes from the last episode we didn't see. Clay and Jax fighting in jail, Stahl framing Gemma for murder, Juice getting kidnapped for example.

Has anyone else noticed this with Hulu?

I ditched Hulu live for YouTubeTv. No regrets.

I don't have Hulu, but your question caught my eye because I have feared this would become a thing. Will be watching this thread.

I haven't noticed such a thing, but I honestly don't know if my pool of sources is large enough to really notice if a scene has been cut out of a program.

I watched SoA during it's original airing - that was a COMMON issue I remember from the show. Whole scenes in the 'last episode recap' that were NOT in the last episode. It's like they recut stuff just for the recap. There were cases where dialog was added that wasn't in the original episode. At first I thought I was crazy - I went back and watched those episodes - they definitely weren't there.

Yep and for some reason you'd get two episode ago scenes in the "previously on SOA", which that is true it was previous, just not previously previous...

How does the runtime compare to other episodes?

IIRC SoA was one of the shows that sometimes had a strange runtime, like 72 minutes instead of 60 (with commercials). So perhaps you are getting the episode that was trimmed to fit into a 60 minute time slot.

And as someone else alluded to, this is why I bought DVD copies of the few very TV shows and movies that are special to me. Eventually the digital copies, along with any new hard copy, may be edited to remove anything at all that someone might be offended by.

The "Previously" segments don't just draw from the last episode. Occasionally they draw from previous seasons.

It's some kind of glitch with Hulu. If I let it autoplay from one episode to the next it starts in random places. If I hit pause/stop and manually select play next episode it seems to work fine.
