I watched this a couple of nights ago. Picked randomly. After a short while I almost turned it off. It was...is a crazy movie. But then I got that's exactly what it was supposed to be.

I can't say I loved it, but the more it developed, the more I appreciated the weirdness of it. All the roles were very well acted.

It’s a Coen Bros movie. It helps to know that going in. I watch it about once a year or so, along with The Big Lebowski and O Brother, Where Art Thou? Brad Pitt is absolutely hilarious in this one. The scene with the closet makes me laugh myself sick every time.

The Russians? Whaaaaaaaat theeeeeee ffuuuuuuuuuck! Favorite line of John Malkovich, in any movie, ever! When this comes on one of my movie stations I have to rewind at least 10 times and listen to him say it.

It's like 50%-75% of the Coen's movies, there's something there, and some of it brilliant, but over all it just missed, or something was missing.

When they don't miss they're masterpieces.

This is the movie where I first realized Brad Pitt could act.

[spoiler alert]

It is down the list of Coen Bros movies as for effectiveness and pacing but it has some elements that are hilarious. It has a lot in common with Raising Arizona and Fargo, and some with Lebowski, but does not quite deliver the goods like those films.

It wasn't until the end of the movie that I saw that. Then it clicked more.

This is one of my favorite Coen Bros films. Everyone in it is fantastic. The absurd intersecting storylines and the performances are perfect. I agree that it’s low key one of Pitt’s best roles. He steals every scene.

Did not see the closet scene going that way lol.

Had to fast forward a few times, but overall it has its moments.
