I've watched it a few times, repeating myself, but it was very enjoyable The Enemy's gate is down.

Well, I popped up Prime tonight to watch Bosch, and see that there's now a Season 2 of The Night Manager! The Enemy's gate is down.

I started it and have watched two episodes now. I find it strangely suspenseful. I guess mostly because of the acting as there isn't a ton of action yet. Looking forward to see how it develops.

Wow. I just saw the series as an option to see on Amazon. I saw this thread and wanted to read reactions to see if I want to watch it. I was surprised to see I had already seen it. I have no recollection of the series or any of it's episodes. I suppose since I liked it, I should watch it again. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Definitely worth the time to rewatch season 1. We did the rewatch last week and I had forgotten so much of the plot since the first time through all those years ago. I found it gives the background for the plot of season 2 make more sense. "You know, Scotland has its own martial arts. Yeah, it's called Fuck You. It's mostly just head butting and then kicking people when they're on the ground." - Charlie MacKenzie (Mike Myers in "So I Married an Axe Murderer")

Well I just watched S2 E4 today a lot going on, trust no one. Now gotta wait another week for E5, then another week for the last episode. Just like with Fallout, wish they would just drop them all at once, easier for me to binge it that way. "But, as luck would have it, he stood up. He caught that chunk of lead." Gunnery Sergeant Carlos Hathcock "If there's one thing this last week has taught me, it's better to have a gun and not need it than to need a gun and not have it." Clarence Worley

Seeing an ad for the series, plus this thread, I started watching it yesterday afternoon. Next thing I knew, it was past bedtime and I'd finished the first season. Snowy and cold outside... I might get part of Season 2 today. Politicians seem to have forgotten that they work for us, not the other way around. — — — — — — — — — — — — God bless America.

I watched the first season last year. My first exposure to Tom Hiddleston outside of Marvel. He did well. I enjoyed it. Will watch the second season. _________________________ OH, Bonnie McMurray!

Does anyone else think from Season 1 to Season 2, the main character guy lost a lot of weight? His face looks gaunt and nothing like the nice looking guy in Season 1. I'm not saying I'm gay but it did move, Jerry. Also, I thought it was strange that they would dovetail to the storyline in Season 1 instead of a new story but I suppose it make sense after a couple of more episodes but it's an unwanted plot twist for me. I think there’s about a ten-year gap between the making of the first and second seasons. Maybe the roles taken in between have something to do with the big change in physical appearance? there is, only one episode into season 2,, will finish it Hiddleston is a fine actor, however with his grin, I see Joker not Bond, and probably too old now for that role anyway https://chandlersfirearms.com/chesterfield-armament/

I finished this season off this morning, a lot of twists and turns. "But, as luck would have it, he stood up. He caught that chunk of lead." Thanks for the explanation. That certainly explains a lot, although the woman, Burr, actually did not show her age. She, too, lost a lot of weight but she was pregnant in the first season. That’s some dedication on people’s part to pick up where they left off ten years ago. Ten years is certainly a long time between seasons. I wasn't too thrilled with this season. It's been so long that I forgot how I liked the first one. I thought the finale was terrible, and only set up a cliffhanger for another season, and who knows when that will be.

I knew there was going to be a third season, so I assumed there would be some kind of cliffhanger, but I didn't like this one. I don't want to say too much and be a spoiler, but our hero is having a hell of a time of it!
