I just came across this on IMDB. Reviews are saying it's a new Christmas classic in the vein of Die Hard, albeit a bit more violent (as its title implies). I'm going to have to watch it when it comes out where I can get it (Redbox, streaming, etc.). I took my son (just home from basic training), and we LOVED it. I thought it was funny, and there’s absolutely nothing cerebral about it…which is a quality I like in a movie. David Harbour was wonderful. | |||

I saw it was available for streaming rental on Amazon Prime, and had planned to check it out this weekend, but then saw that it was $20 to rent it!  I'll wait another few months until it's either just a few bucks to rent, or possibly available for free with one of the various streaming services. | |||

It was entertaining. Not even close to Christmas classic material though. Dragged a bit in the middle. Picked up towards the end where all the violent Santa bits are. That was fun. | |||

Pretty enjoyable, some funny moments. I normally wouldn't pay $20 to rent a movie, but the wife and son and I were going to see it at the theatre, so $20 was much cheaper. My wife thought it was all a bit much, but my son and I really enjoyed it. Don't weep for the stupid, or you will be crying all day | |||
