For me it's "The Wood Dove", (Antonín Dvořák). When the bass clarinet sounds, and the wood dove trills, chills go up my spine. No other music has that effect on me.

Very nice. It always amazes me how a good conductor lead so many disparate instruments to provide such a nice performance.

I don't know how truly scary it is, but I adore Saint-Saens' Danse Macabre.

Although not so scary, Mozart's Masonic Funeral Music has a baleful haunting quality to it....

In the spirit of Bilsey's post, there is a genre of music called Dark Ambient. I bought an album thirty years ago and its so creepy that I never finished the first song on either side. Here is a less intense sample, Mutated Silent Night.

Speaking of Henry Mancini, if Nazis are frightening then this is top of the list...

Mussorgsky's "Night on Bald Mountain" and "Danse Macabre" are two of my favorites for this time of the year.

This is what I play outside the front door on Halloween, dark with the only light a pumpkin on the ground. The kids, and some adults, always tell us they were a little scared walking up.
