One of the Youtube channels I've followed is JTVFX. He's an amateur VFX artist that started his channel by recreating scenes in CGI as close as he could. Two years ago, he started a project to make The Battle of Wolf 359 and in September, he finally completed it. It's the most complete attempt to reconstruct the battle with using all available source material like the original script, the interactive video game Star Trek: Borg, and all of the extra stuff that's been shoehorned in by Star Trek Voyager and other pieces of material. There's even a certain cameo from a comic book crossover.

There is some AI content for those who care (99% of it is voice work), but for a fan who has a PC, a budget of $0, and no studio resources, I don't care. The amount of work he did was impressive and he also mimicked the lighting setups of TNG almost perfectly for CGI. There are scenes intercut with TNG and DS9 and as such, everything is split into 4 videos. He'd likely get copyright claimed if glued all 4 pieces together.

So enjoy. If you're interested in his thought processes, there's a pinned comment in each video that goes over his meticulous notes for each video.

Enjoy.

Very cool! Yes it's annoying how such a large part of ST history/lore never really got treated like the epic battle it was described as.

Was that The Doctor's TARDIS I see flying by at one point?

Yep, that was the cameo I mentioned. It seems there was a Star Trek/Doctor Who crossover where the Doctor observed the whole battle, but since it's a fixed point in time he could do nothing but watch.

At least that's what I've read. I've never followed Doctor Who to know if that's a thing, but like I said, this guy did his research.

That was pretty good. The flat AI voices got annoying, but it was a great endeavor. I missed the Tardis; where was it?
