Surfing, not seeing anything that even remotely interested me, decided to give Interstellar a shot.

It takes a REALLY good movie to keep me awake and interested past 9pm.

I'm not typically the emotional sort, but I had a little trouble focusing during the hospital room scene with Murph.

All of Nolan's films are terrific, but Interstellar is truly amazing.

Yes - it’s a very good movie

I saw it for the first time on Netflix earlier this year and also wondered what took me so long to get around to seeing it. If you like sci-fi, it's a must-see.

There's a theory that everything that happens after Cooper is ejected from the tesseract is a dream as he's dying in space. I did think it was weird that after the father-daughter Cooper reunification scene that no one else in Cooper's extended family bothered to meet him.

One of my wife's favorite movies, can't not watch it if it is on.

She also bought the soundtrack, which is amazing.

Read up on the hidden easter eggs stuff and then rewatch. The big one is the hidden deep ticking while they are on the water planet. Every tick is 1 day on earth. Really brings home the time shift when you hear it.

Its an amazing movie. Interstingly enough I've found my kids were riveted in theatre when they did the recent rerelease. I didnt think it would have enough action to hold their attention but they loved it. I would love to see it in 4dx or one of those gigantic Imax screens.

I remember the part where he discovers recent text books had been changed to state that the moon landing was faked, in order to demoralize and discourage ambitions for space endeavors.

I think that was prophetic. Our hijacked culture now strongly pulls young people away from any technical or pragmatic profession, and it is pretty damn frustrating as a father who made a good living as an engineer. Now I have to teach a young person how to thrive while being surrounded by lemmings and coddled animals.

One of my favorites that I have watched several times. "You told them I liked farming" LOL. The whole way that Cooper and Murph find NASA was fascinating. The scene where they get back to their ship after being in the water to retrieve the data and find their shipmate had aged decades was jolting. So much to like about it and top notch casting and acting.

The way they designed the robot assistant was genius in my opinion.

My son loves this movie. I enjoyed it the first time I watched it, but he really digs it. I’ve watched it with him at least twice more this year, he keeps trying to get grandma and grandpa to watch it with us, and he really focuses on it which is amazing, because it can be hard to get him to sit through a whole movie. Of course with McConaughey in it, I love it too.

Saw it in the theater when it opened and was blown away

There was a video a few years back that had every time he says, "Murph!!"

Otherwise it is one of my all time favorite space movies. Surprisingly, my kids list it as a "core memory" (thank you Inside Out).

The scene where he is re-attaching is one of the most tense scenes and incredible cinema.

I recall an article where Nolan was very specific that this movie the robots and AI tech were mere tools for humans, unlike many other movies have portrayed those parts of technology as problematic even a threat. He was very interested in making sure their usage in the movie were seen as aids, tools that could ease the workload for the human crew particularly the long voyages that space has, being able to do all the diagnostic and monitoring work that such tasks are well suited for. Having a sarcasm-setting was pretty good touch as well.

One of my favorites as well.
The soundtrack really makes it for me. I had a friend over who like organ music and I had basic stereo Polk tower speaker and it really made an impression on him what just left and right speakers can do.

It came out in November 2014.

So just under 11 years ago. Since it has been released less than 1 1/2 hours have passed on Miller's planet (the water one next to the supermassive black hole).

Such a great movie!
