Let's just say she could make dialing a wall mounted phone interesting.

That’s probably a good thing. I had to laugh watching Billy Bob struggling to use a pipe wrench backwards.

In another episode he says “When 11,000 gallons of crude oil hits 100 octane AV gas it tends to go boom” referring to the crash between the truck with the tank trailer and a turbo prop aircraft that would use Jet A (King Air 350).

Apparently Landman Derangement Syndrome is a thing.
I guess some are 'offended' by this show.

Me personally, I enjoy the dialog but I guess if someone made a show called "ITman", I would be critical of it too if it had nothing to do with computers.

I do like the show and don't really care about the title being accurate.

Just ignore the last part where he is selling his LANDMAN Course. Roll Eyes

Watching him answer the phone when his ex calls brings back memories. Guess I am not the only one that had horror/spooky music as their ring tone.

No lie, when it startled him while driving I laughed out loud and giggled for several minutes.

Being somewhat of a connoisseur of fine sarcasm, I'm really enjoying Billy Bob Thornton's character.

I enjoyed when he was questioning his daughter about “using protection” and the expression on his face as she explained it.

And he then he dryly says “I’m going to get a Dr. Pepper”

Very much enjoying this show so far. I did get a chuckle out of the spots by the American Petroleum Institute that run before each episode, almost like a little disclaimer to warn the viewer: “What follows is not what the industry is really like.”

Ditto the comments on a lot of laugh-out-loud dialogue, mostly via BBT’s character.

Up to episode #3 and enjoying it so far. The son is ugly enough to be Billy Bob Thornton's son and the daughter is hot enough to be Ali Larter's daughter.

I enjoyed the dialogue with the female attorney about "clean" energy and how it isn't.

Oh yeah, Ali is still a very good looking woman.

Billy Bob is really the only interesting character in the show and the reason why I watch it, except for maybe the ex and daughter. He's great in every scene. The scene where he explains that windmills are far from "green" should be shown to every enviro-wacko. Demi Moore just swims in the pool. John Hamm just gets on the phone to get updates from Billy Bob. Billy Bob's son doesn't look like he worked out a day in his life, let alone wrestled in college.

^^^I agree with the part about how his son does not look like a wrestler, I spent some time out in the basin(used to deliver pipe with a flatbed just like in that one scene) and he is exactly the type of guy I used to see out there working. Long lanky farm type so casting really nailed him.

Most of it is a stupid teen whore walking around in her underwear and her whore mother being a stupid whore.

While Billy Bob is a foul mouthed incompetent drunk.

The only interesting characters died in the first episode.

Yeah? But apparently you continued watching anyway so you could enlighten us all with that sparkling commentary.
