I’d like to try the FRT but I’ve got Franklin Armory triggers for my AR, HK, Scorpion EVO & 10-22 … I liked them all in the beginning however after a few years, my favorite is the 10-22. Second place goes to the HK but mine is in mostly in my HK53 clone it’s okay in my MP5 & SD clones but I prefer the recoil is about the same but 223 punch is more satisfying. The AR is the least satisfying, even in a AR-SBR.
Although they don’t perfectly mimic a select fire, with practice I can get pretty close … which is good enough for me especially since I’m not going into war or for newer weapons like the Scorpion EVO which as a civilian I can’t even acquire. Then considering the difference in price I’m not sure I would have bought my select fire weapons if the FRT and Franklin Armory binary’s were available back then.

Has anyone seen an FRT that’d work with a 22lr AR? I’ve got an SBR’d M&P 15 that would be a perfect host.

Got to shoot a suppressed 9mm AR last weekend that fed from Colt stick mags. It was incredibly easy to keep it on a USPSA target at about 25 yards. I'm absolutely sold. That's what I'm doing next, a Daniel Defense PCC SBR with a three position FRT.

ALSO, there's a guy on Reddit yesterday who announced he's got a working FRT trigger pack prototype for the PS90 with a video of a mag dump. Someone clocked the ROF at 1,650ish rounds per minute. I definitely want one of those. That's 5.56 prices instead of 9mm, but that will make that gun make a hell of a lot more sense.

I just put in a new closed trench trigger in the Storm Crow and tuned it for the three position Super Selektor. It has a flat spring and H3 buffer if anyone wants to know.
The trigger was from Brownells. It was the Sons Of Liberty trigger, 100045023.

I have it where it won't release until the trip hits the hammer. Shaved .0010 off the shelf until the trip was smooth while pressing the hammer back all the way in SS position.

The push button Super Safety worked great in the DOE until it blew the extractor out. A shell got jammed in the chamber and must have damaged it and then it broke clean in half on the next cycle.

PSA wants me to send the whole gun in.

I bought another bolt and some spare extractors.

I am going to polish the barrel throat and probably have it throated with a modern wide throat.

Went to the big gun show this weekend in ATL, guess what was the hot seller. Someone I know has a table and he said across from him they must have installed 20 of them just on Sunday.

PSA just sent me a notice of they are sending out a whole bolt group and keep the broken one.

He said the extractor should not have broken no matter what, even an out of battery detonation.

Man, I’m salty that I couldn’t find an early PS90 before our state AWB. Not that I can get an FRT in this state anyways.

It was one of my bucket list guns that I went out and bought before whatever shitty "universal background check" initiative went into effect in 2017 I think, along with a couple dozen magazines. I don't envy you guys, I'm so grateful I got the fuck out. Papered it last spring, it's an absolute giggle in the intended configuration with a can on it, I can't even imagine how much more fun with the trigger acting more like a trip instead of a Mattel toy.

I have a Super Safety sitting in parts bin, I am tempted to just go ahead and get after one of my SBR lowers with a half round file until that trip will reset and give it a whirl. I really want to get a 9mm AR set up just for the ammo prices.

If anyone wants to know how to make the SS and Selektor reliable, just ask.

I’ve gone off the deep end watching videos and reading about these devices. For me, it looked like the Atrius Super Selector was the way to go. Their unit uses a traditional 3 position safety with a lever. I bought two of them and they shipped today. We’ll see how they function soon.

I’ve been watching the suppressor videos Smudge posted from Juicey Media (best ever suppressor test vids) and they have a couple FRT videos that are good to watch. I’m leaning toward the AS Designs ARC.

Make sure you install an H3 deadblow buffer like the Spike's T3 or LuthAR CS-T3. If you don't, the bolt bounce will be so bad, it will just bounce with no hammer contact after the second round, or worse an out of battery detonation.

Here's one in stock. https://palmettostatearmory.co...ar-rifles-cs-t3.html

Watch THIS video so you don't break the lever.

Ensure it's not a solid, but weighted deadblow buffer similar to the ones I posted.
