When we paint your truck, I'll let you take the gun apart and individually cycle the parts to see how it works. It's ingenious. It has a cam that pushes the trigger back forward when the bolt comes back and keeps the trigger sear engaged until the bolt closes. The disconnect is never touched (the big no no from the feds).

The pressure from your finger, then pulls the trigger again.

I've ordered two more Spike's T3, H3 weight buffers to go with the three other FRTs I ordered.

I ordered an extended length, adjustable weight buffer for the DOE as seen what everyone else is doing.

Oh, and 5.56 gets really hot really quick. REALLY hot. The handguards on that dinky were ineffective at best. Now I know why they went to the round, thicker handguards for the XM-177.

The original Commando Carbine looks cool, but it is impractical in a firefight.

My turn patterned worse than a punt gun.
I did controlled bursts.

I hip shoot and fan a cowboy revolver more accurately...

They cyclic rate of a semi-auto MP5K/clone with one of these triggers is noticeably faster than even a real-deal MP5K.

I would not have expected that.

Very hot, very quick for sure. I have a 13" BCM Raider that took no time at all to start melting the BCM rail covers I had. Note to self: FRT + plastic rail covers = not a good idea

This was the third or fourth mag in as many minutes. Hence all the smoke from the can at the end of that string. She was getting pretty toasty.

Was that just straight up with conversion dropped in, no fiddling? I have one I throw in my 11.5" suppressed URGI, some .22 mag dumps at speed would be hilariously fun. Big Grin

I need this in my life. I gotta make some more space in the safe for a DD PCC to throw my SS in.

I had to buy the BoreBuddy SS trigger sled kit.

https://borebuddy.com/product/ar22-super-safe-bundle/

And some fiddling. The sled had to be fit to the conversion. Just slide it across a medium oil stone and fit until it slides easily. I ran without weights, but had to hold the trigger really light as not to stop the bolt and its weights impulse prevents bolt bounce. The more it ran, the better it got.

Now that it runs well, I ordered the Tippman mag loader. It will be a must with giggle mode.

The recoil plug holds the kit good and sealed.

The Black Dog Machine mag worked the best. I ordered three more from Midway as they have the cheapest ones.

When I get a chance, I will post up a how to video with tuning each part for it to run reliably. Everyone else is just showing theirs running with zero advice. I had to just work my way through it. Now I know what to do. From setting up the sled to adjusting the weights.

I really appreciate that! As you say, there's currently a lot of "look at this!" and not a lot of "here's how I did it."

Firearms market is going through one of the typical R administration slumps, this is good for the industry at large - manufacturers of guns, barrels, and of course, ammo.

^^ Contrary to the VAST majority of what you've seen on the internet, a 3-round burst is achievable with a FRT. One could even say it's a more disciplined method of operation, and certainly MUCH more controllable! Of course everyone will do it at least once, but 'Mags Dumps' are NOT the only mode of operation with an FRT Thang...Just sayin' Wink

Yep, you don't have to stomp on the gas pedal every time the light turns green, but if you have the horsepower to go fast, you can if you want to.
