Started in 1989, went through these in about this order over the years: Springfield M1911A1 Taurus M85 Glock 23 Gen2 Colt Officers ACP Browning Hi Power .40 S&W M640 .357 SIG P220 SIG P245 Walther P99 .40 SIG P226 9mm Beretta 92FS Glock 31 Those were my main choices for primary carry. At times based on weather and attire I have supplemented these with a Walter PPK .380, a Ruger LCP, S&W M442 and M642, and SIG P228. Right now I switch out my G31 with a G32 and G33 based on what I’m wearing and what conceals best.

Doin' what I can with what I got |
First carry was a P226 in 9x19mm (first handgun). Then P228. Then P229 in .357 because Secret Service. G19 for five minutes. Then back to a P228. Then back to a G19. The cult of the Austrian giant was strong but I just never warmed up to the things. Purchased a pair of P229 Legions in 9mm, carried em ever since. Have a pair of Walther PPS-M2s in 9mm that I'll carry when the Legions are just too big. Those will likely be replaced with P365s. When either my unit receives M17s, or I am reassigned to a unit with M17s, I will start carrying the P320 Compact w/manual safety in 9mm full time. I may perform this switch early but I'm contemplating going all in for Army competitions, which would require me to shoot with and train on the Beretta M9 for the forseeable future. ---------------------------------------- Death smiles at us all. Starting in 1978: Star PD .45 ACP, Browning P35 "High Power" 9mm, and occasionally a S&W Model 60 .38 Special. About 1991, I switched over to a Sig P225 9mm, then to Glock G23 and G27 in .40 S&W. Around 2000, my agency prohibited the use of striker fired pistols and I went to a H&K USP Compact in .40 S&W, then Nighthawk Custom GRPII (Commander sized 1911) in .45 ACP. Retired from LE in 2008 and have carried a variety of semi-autos including the G23 (.40), Nighthawk GRPII (.45 ACP), Sig P239 (.40 S&W), Sig P938 (9mm), Sig 238 (.380 ACP), Seecamp LWS380 (.380 ACP), Ruger LCP (.380 ACP), and for the last year or so I've very pleased carrying the Walther PPS M2 (9mm) almost all of the time. I started carrying in my mid-20's and am now 63 years old. No NDs! "I'm not fluent in the language of violence, but I know enough to get around in places where it's spoken."

I've had a pistol stuck in my belt since the 70's. No way I could list from start to finish. But, will say this, for many years it was Mexican style carry. My favorite piece over the years would have to be the Makarov. 美しい犬

Started carrying a P2000sk (40sw) in 2007. Then switched over to a Glock 27 a few years later. Then 3 years ago I switched over to a Glock 32. I got a 357 sig barrel for the 27 and carry it as a bug on my ankle.

Glock 22, been carrying it since Glock introduced it. I switched to a Glock 17 for a while, because where I worked required me to carry a 9X19mm caliber handgun, but when they changed policy I switched back. Now, there was a short intlude I carried a Beretta 96D, because I was carrying it at work, but it was heavier, bigger, held less ammo and lacked night sights, so back to the Glock 22. I do change it up sometimes and carry my SIG P 220 for a week or two, maybe my SIG P6 a week or two, or my HK P7 PSP a few days. But I always go back to the Glock 22. Unless deep concealment is needed, and the biggest size I can get a way with is the Glock 27, but every day, day in day out, the Glock 22. ARman

S&W 686 .357 for a year or so, then I got a 229 in .40 and it has been my primary carry ever since. I also have a Taurus TCP 738 .380 that I carry when for some reason I can't carry the 229. It's a pretty sweet gun for a small as it is. I will be getting a p365 once they become more available, and that will probably become my primary carry gun, on paper it looks about perfect. "The people hate the lizards and the lizards rule the people." "Odd," said Arthur, "I thought you said it was a democracy." "I did," said Ford, "it is." "So," said Arthur, hoping he wasn't sounding ridiculously obtuse, "why don't the people get rid of the lizards?" "It honestly doesn't occur to them. They've all got the vote, so they all pretty much assume that the government they've voted in more or less approximates the government they want." "You mean they actually vote for the lizards." "Oh yes," said Ford with a shrug, "of course." "But," said Arthur, going for the big one again, "why?" "Because if they didn't vote for a lizard, then the wrong lizard might get in."
