Springfield Compact Stainless 1911 Colt Government 380 SIG 245 Right now I vary between my Kimber Ultra and SIG 320 Compact. There have been others I tried for a short time, 228, 220 and 229 but never carried them for a long time. Just purchased a SIG 365, going to wring it out for a couple months and then maybe it will replace the Kimber??? _____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ A Veteran is someone who wrote a blank check Made payable to 'The United States of America' for an amount of 'Up to and including their life'. Armed and Gregarious |
1) SIG M11 2) SIG P228 3) SIG P229/.40 and S&W 640 4) Glock 22,Glock 27, and S&W 640 All were issued, and the only things I was/am authorized to carry. Rumor is the next in my progression will be a Glock 19, and the rumors vary greatly on whether I will get to keep the revolver. ___________________________________________ "He was never hindered by any dogma, except the Constitution." - Ty Ross speaking of his grandfather General Barry Goldwater "War is the remedy that our enemies have chosen, and I say let us give them all they want." - William Tecumseh Sherman

Sig P239 for ten straight. Then Glock 26/19 for a few years. Now PX4 series and P30 Series pistols. I did the Pepsi challenge many many times with much of what’s on the market today. Owned it, rented it, and/or carried it. Learned a lot. Carried every carryable 357sig made for some duration. Now moved to 9mm and won’t be any changes for years to come. I just prefer the hammers and I’m more or less done with it, tired of it actually, really tired of it. What am I doing? I'm talking to an empty telephone

PPKs/S&W 60/1911 Gov in the 1970s, Chopped 1911/ASP 9mm in the early 1980s, BHP/1911 Commander in the late 1980s, Chopped 1911/BHP in the early 1990s, Sig P228/P226 in the early 2000s, and now just either the P228 or P320. I have found that 9mm is the round for me and Sig is the gun for me also. Chris

Just mobilize it |
Started with a G19 in a MTAC, then a G26 in the same holster, then a LCP front pocket. Now I rock a G42 same front pocket.

XD40 subcompact - maybe 9 months, carried fine but shot like shit. Crossbreed Supertuck. Sig SP2022 - 6mo, shot very well, a bit large for carry. Crossbreed Supertuck. Sig P239 Tactical - best carry gun I've owned. Carried great, shot like a laser. Crossbreed Supertuck. I'm an idiot for ever letting this one go. XDm Compact 9 - Carried fine, didn't shoot very well. Crossbreed Supertuck. P229 - Didn't like this one at all. Think it was a lemon, trigger was horrendous, couldn't hit shit with it. Too bulky to carry too. Sold this one quick & went back to the SP2022 for awhile. Glock 19 - carried this one for 2 years or so, first in a crossbreed then went to AIWB in an Incog. Carried well, like a 19 should, just never was able to shoot it that well. VP9 - current, in a JM Custom Kydex "The Claw" with the neoprene wedge. Carries fairly well, but it's big. I'm very fast & accurate with this one, I don't think I've ever shot a handgun as well as this one. But I've been much more consistent with practice since I've owned it. I have a USP Compact 45 on the way right now with a JM Custom ordered. This will likely be a carry gun if I shoot it as well as I shoot my buddy's USP Compact 9mm. The VP9 just gets pretty cumbersome toward the end of the day. I'm not sure how long all of these were, but that's over about 8 years of carrying pretty much daily.

Pre 2001 I picked up a Gen2 G17 in anticipation of Michigan concealed Carry. It got shot down time after time. Until summer of 2001. 2001 G17 for a bit. 229 .357sig / 239 .40 in summer 239 .40 all the time because it's a sweet shooter.
