I'm not talking about an occasional diversion, but a pistol you've routinely carried for 6 months or more. Over the past 25 years, I've carried the following: Years 1-2 Colt Defender- 45ACP Years 3-10 Sig P239- .357 Sig> .40 S&W Years 11-25 Glock 27 If I were starting from scratch, I may select a G26/27, but probably more due to inertia than it being the perfect choice. How about you? Where have you been and where would you start over?

Primarily: gen2 Glock 19 (1998, issued weapon S&W 4046) to HK USPC357 (2001) to gen3 Glock 33 (2002, issued weapon switched to Glock 22) to gen3 Glock 32 (2008, issued weapon switched to Glock 31). 2018 might be the switch to twin gen4 32s (working on switching my department over to gen4 31s this year). Haven’t decided on my birthday Glocks yet. I have other guns to carry depending on what I feel like for the day but I like the size of my 32. Not minority enough!

P220ST .45 -> P229R .40 -> P229R 9mm [with the occasional appearance of a 642 in .38Spl] I may go to a P365 if I find one and like it enough. <><><><><><><><><><><><><> "I drank what?" - Socrates

Primary carry, duty, off duty, and BUGs since 1985 for me (as best as I can recall…) 1985-1988: Primary carry gun was a Walther PPK/S .380, primary range/competition gun Browning Hi Power 9mm (Assigned gun during my 3 years at Ft. Knox, 1911 for 2 years and Beretta 9mm for 1 year) 1989: LEO duty gun Beretta 92FC (13 round version), off duty gun S&W 6906 or Walther PPK/S 1990 – 2002: Duty Gun SIG P226 9mm or SIG P220 .45, off duty assorted guns – primarily used the SIG 225, 228, 239, 230 or 232. BUG was always a S&W J frame snubby – different models during those years. 2003 – mid 2005: SIG P239 9mm primary EDC, sometimes carried SIG P220. Late 2005 – 2015: Primary EDC gun Glock 19 2016: Primary EDC gun Walther PPS M2 2017: Primary EDC gun Glock 43 2018: Jan Glock 43, Feb Glock 19, March back to Glock 43 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Tomorrow's battle is won during today's practice.

Smith Model 60 Beretta 92fs HK USPc Sig C3 Sig P228R Glock 19 In addition to the above I’ve owned smaller guns for when concealment is most important. A Kahr CM9 and a Glock 42 have filled those roles. The G19 has been my primary carry for about 6 years now. “Everybody wants a Sig in the sheets but a Glock on the streets.” -bionic218 04-02-2014

Kahr CW 45 for about three months - ugh...don't ask. Smith and Wesson model 19 to a Smith and Wesson 6906, with a 442 occasionally. Glock 19 and 26 for many years with a bit of LCP thrown in for good measure. Small dalliance with a PPK/s. M&P45C Back to Glocks. Sig Pro Back to Glocks. Shield 9 Back to Glocks. Seeing a pattern here? G43 for a while, but back to the 19 and 26 (capacity fears - real or imagined - you decide) Currently - Sig P245/P320 Next? Probably a 365 before I go - inevitably - back to Glocks.

P229 in .40. P320 Carry in 9. That's it. Well, I did mix in a PPQ a couple times, but don't like the Alien Gear holster for it and once the P320 issues I had went away along with the upgrade, it's 17 rounds in the same size as the P229 and lighter by 1/2 pound just did it for me. ------------------------------------------------ Charter member of the vast, right-wing conspiracy

I like to carry a lot of different guns. However, I would say the majority of the time it's a P228 or G19.
