These are going to sell like hotcakes! I LOVE my Boresight Solutions Glocks that Ben Simonson did for me. Lot of the same features as the Gen 6’s, but I’m going to buy these new ones. Glock definitely added the right stuff on this generation.

I like the grip texture and the undercut, and appreciate the fencing around the slide catch. I never understood why Sig did away with that when they released the P320 X-Grip and AXG...I've seen a bunch of people inadvertently actuate it and while the fencing doesn't completely eliminate that problem, it does help a little.

"Gas pedal" thing I'm not too sure about. Same with the palm swell. Gonna have to try it for myself to see.

Flat trigger is a big negative in my book. I hate those things. My finger is round, and prefers to be nestled in the curved embrace of a reciprocally-shaped object.

Front serrations still there from the Gen5. Never did care for those, but I suppose it's something I'm going to have to get used to since everybody wants to grab the gun up by the mizzle for some reason these days.

Same shitty plastic sights and no modularity/FCU is pretty the deciding factor for me, though. If I decide I need to bring a Glock back into the collection it'll probably be a Ruger RXM.

Is it's rear sight plastic or metal? I actually like this Glock. Much improvement to it's grip. They didn't butcher the Glock with a FCU.

A functional beavertail on a factory Glock? What is this the Twilight Zone?

Does the grip seem more oval and less square and blocky? That would be a huge plus. Perhaps the “palm swell” does make it that way.

I like these improvements. Looking forward to picking up a new Glock 19 next year.

If you watch the video you’ll have your answer, yes it is rounded instead of flat in the previous generations.

Is a trigger pull still required for disassembly?

All good improvements IMO. Not sure about the step at the bottom of the trigger but the other stuff was sorely needed. Most particularly the more ergonomic grip, better texture, and undercut trigger guard. I personally don’t like the 17 with the 19-length dust cover but it makes more sense for them to only make one “large” sized frame for the 17/45/47 since the slides and barrels are now compatible between those two lengths.

I think I like it. I’m excited to get my hands on a new 19.

I do like the look of that grip. Looks like it’s going to give you great traction like the RTF2 does but with less abrasiveness.

I planned on picking up a Gen 5 G-23, but looking at the new Gen 6 grip, I think I'll wait to see if Glock expands beyond 9mm. I'll give it a few months, unless I get an offer I cannot refuse on a Gen 5.

I’ll be real interested to see if the 21 and 30 ever come about in Gen 6. I’ve heard nothing about .45s yet.

As someone who has owned a "few" Glocks (54 in all, and my wife has owned another 6), with the first two being purchased in 1988, but really only got into them seriously (by that I mean for EDC, 24-7, 365 days a year, use) in 2005, I can say that the new Gen 6 looks very interesting to me. I have owned Gen 2s, 3s, 4s, and 5s.

When the Gen 4 came out, the smaller grip option that it afforded was a BIG difference FOR ME. All of my Gen 2s and 3s were soon sold or traded off. The Gen 5 continued the smaller grip option.

I will have to handle, rent, test out, the new Gen 6 to determine if the grip on that version works for me. (Looking at the photos and videos that are out, it appears that they would, but the "palm swell" might not be suitable, then again it might - just have to try it.)

While I'm most likely not going to be buying any firearm moving forward, my two WCV Gen 5 Glock 19s and my grip reduction/stippled Gen 3 Glock 26, fill my needs pretty darn good (my J frame also has a role in the scheme of things too.) one never knows.

Lots of the things that they have incorporated in the Gen 6 are included in my current guns, so if I was FORCED to pick an out of the box Glock 19 for an EDC gun at this time, it would probably be a Gen 6 (provided that the palm swells on the grip didn't affect me.). I like the options that they have added to this version.

One of the reasons that I didn't pick up a Ruger RXM was because when I held it, it felt "wrong" in my hands, then I remembered, the grip is based on a Gen 3 pattern not a Gen 4/5.

My thoughts exactly. The "palm swell" I'll have to handle myself before deciding. Their 3rd/4th Gen finger grooves didn't work so well for my hands on most models, so I'm concerned that the same will be true for this palm swell.

And as someone who has meaty hands, I appreciate the built-in beavertail. I've had to add beavertails to every Glock I've ever owned or been issued. (Or with my first Gen 3 I was issued, before there were even any aftermarket beavertails available or approved for duty use, just deal with the bloody wounds on my hand every time I shot it.)


I'm honestly shocked that they didn't even attempt to introduce some sort of modular FCU, as that's a feature of most new pistol designs.

I'm just going to say I really like everything I'm seeing. I get why some would not, but this is all a move in the right direction, imo. I wanted to buy a 47 but then there was that buying frenzy and the 47's dried up with a quickness. Kinda glad I didn't, this upcoming 17 is a better version of it from everything I'm seeing. I'll for sure be in for a 17.
