I'm looking for help on identifying the manufacture date on a pistol my deceased Brother gave me. It's a 45 ACP two tone full-size P220. The serial # is G 208 910 made in West Germany. Sig said they only had records from 2003 up. If anyone can help? I would very much appreciate it.

Look under the "chin" of the slide for the 2-letter code. That will tell you the year it was proof tested as a complete gun. KC = '92 KD = '93 Q

If you are able to take the grip panels off, most will have a year and month of manufacture stamped inside. The final year of assembly is on the slide as 12131 mentioned. Welcome to the forum!

Same as my 1st post in Sig Forum, near 15 years back. Mine was a West German P226. Such a great pistol. Thanks for the step back in time. Welcome to Sig Forum. I had a P220 TT of this era. Believe it wore a spur hammer.
