Tax Refund? What is that? Some of us work for ourselves .... no such thing. but now that you mention it, I do have a sort of 'Sig' coming next week... not really a true Sig but a CO2 Pellet P226 look alike. My Native American Name: "Runs with Scissors"

nothing..cuz I am getting 300 and my wife will get it before I do.. Probably to pay part of our car insurances that are due this month. I need to start taking more out than 0 witholding cuz my son will be leaving and I will have no more exemptions and then Uncle Sam is really going to violate me lol

No pistols. I'm going to pay off the Harley when the money comes. Should be about 3 weeks. All I'll have is the house payment, car insurance and utilities. I need to start saving money instead of spending it. I'd rather be hated for who I am than loved for who I'm not.

No refund . A refund means you overpaid.

True, but that's not always just because you didn't calculate your withholdings correctly and were therefore dumb enough to give the government a free loan, like people seem to like to classify it. It may just mean you have variable income, and can't truly plan 100% accurately. Not everyone works strictly as a W2 employee, or at a job with a steady paycheck. Even those who do may have other sources of variable income. For example: My wife and I both are W2 employees at our day jobs, but she has a side 1099 business whose income varies from year to year. We withhold extra out of our day job paychecks, based around what she usually earns in her side job, to avoid tax penalties for owing too much and failing to prepay. But some years she has less income than usual from that side job, so we end up getting a small to moderate refund. I'd rather have an occasional refund than end up having to pay an additional penalty.

I’m not sure how the notion of tax refund is irrelevant to those who are self-employed. If you feel that you’re missing out on the joy of a refund, then simply jack up your Q4 estimated payment!

Well, no refund for us this year....we normally get a minimal amount anyway. But, splurged on two beautiful Colt Troopers, MK III, a week apart. Absolutely gorgeous. first one shot like a dream. Sweet trigger, very accurate. Sorry, no pics.

Ignored facts still exist |
Nice. Was this one of the Police Trade ins that I've seen now and again. I grabbed one a few years ago that was a police trade in from Victoria Australia, and imported here. Heavy barrel and all. I have no idea on the dash numbers for those. Is the -5 pretty new? .

Not certain how or why it happened, but it turns out we overpaid by a lot. A whole lot. When our tax guy told us what we had coming back, both our chins hit the floor. I will be acquiring a New Toy. I think it's gonna be a Ruger SR1911 in 10mm... unless something else catches my eye. To those of you lecturing us on how overpaying taxes is a poor savings plan: This was meant to be a fun thread.
