Anybody who has ever been to one of my Sig Shoots know it's my 1974 Dick Special.

Sig: Since this a Sig Forum; it's a tie between my P226 Mk25, and my Sig 1911 RCS .45. The P226's trigger is the best of my SA/DA Sigs, and with the .22 Xchange Unit on it, the gun really perks for me. And, as a 50+ year 1911 shooter, the factory tuned RCS is the best of my 1911's...outshoots my Colt Gold Cup by quite a bit. Best Regards, Rod

For me the Glock 19 and Sig 229 have always been pistols I have shot incredibly well. The G19 probably because I spent so much time with it when I first got into shooting. The 229 just came to me naturally and felt almost like it was made for me.

I shoot equally with my SIGs, HK's, Glock's, Walther, Colt.

I did change the Glock's trigger to their 3.5 LB and the HK to light LEM before really liking either.

Nowadays, I can pick up a handgun and shoot almost as well (as bad Smile ) as with guns I've shot for years.

I shot a friends PTR MP5K lookalike and with a HS510 red dot the rounds hit EXACTLY where I aimed it - that is more accurate than I am usually for sure.

S&W 41. This little tack driver is so accurate. I just wish my eyes were as good as they were when I first bought it.

I'm back to my Glock 26 or my Sig P938 for carry; they aren't any longer trendy, but that's perfectly okay...they work well for me.

I have found my CZ SP01 is the handgun I shoot best at 25 yrds. After 25 yrds I go to my 8" Dan Wesson 44 mag revolver.

I dunno, I used to carry a P226 and qualified with 100%. Then I started taking my other guns and ran thru the same police qual and shot them all very good. Of course I was a firearms instructor in the service, so that probable played a good part of it.

My most comfortable pistol is a 1911(2011)I shoot very good with it.

Colt Govt model Series 70. Recently "converted" to Sig 365 variants. It's only been a few months but after some serious practice getting near the same proficiency level as the 1911's.

I'm a firm believer in polymer striker fired handguns and used and recommended them for duty use. But, I shoot metal frame guns with hammers the best.

1911's and the two that I shot the very best with were marked U.S Property. No, I was not issued them rather I own them.
They are both Colt 1918 frames with Ithica slides. Old GI issue slab-sides that had a little trigger work. I have owned and shot Springfield, Colt 1991, Remington and STI but the M1911A1's are my favorite.

My M11-A1 which of course is a P229 is also right beside the old colts in shooting ability.

As for revolvers, my Dan Wesson that I got second hand in the 80's was fantastic. A .357 with a four inch barrel. Things got tough and I sold it.
