Yeah, but then I'd have a Kahr, not a Glock, and there's no thread for that lol. Big Grin

I did a little stoning and polishing last night on my factory parts. Nothing crazy, no dremels, no power tools just an Arkansas stone and 1500 grit. While it still has the normal soft takeup and a very defined wall, the break feels smoother and has a bit more of a roll than the abrupt edge that it had before. I'm going to try to go shoot it again today and see if it helps.

I had a ghost connector in my old G26 and liked it. I've read that the NY1 trigger spring makes the entire pull heavier, but also reduces the transition between the takeup and the wall so it's not so pronounced? Is there any truth to that?

I’ve tried the olive trigger with a minus connector.
It was so long ago I don’t really remember what the trigger felt like. IIRC, it wasn’t the dramatic change some folks made it out to be.

92fstech, check your email, I have extras. I can send you one.

Take a look at the different connector offerings from GHOST Inc.
They sent me a few different styles years ago when I was doing alot of business with them, and there were a few that gave you a "rolling" break, which sounds like what you're after.
By "rolling" I mean the defined wall is reduced to the point of feeling like a long revolver style pull through.

I just looked and i have a few EDGE 3.5 connectors. I just threw one in a G27 and it does indeed give more of a rolling break.

Email me your address and I'll gift you one, send it out tomorrow and you can use it to see if it's what you want. This one is for the regular frame Glocks (26/19/34, etc) so if you have a standard Glock model this will work, it won't go into the 43/43x platform but it'll give you an idea.

EDIT- Here's the model for your 43x- https://ghostinc.com/g42-g43-4...host-edge-connector/

Thanks to both of you, I really appreciate the generous offers. I actually got on Midway the other night and ordered a Ghost Edge connector for the 43x, a NY1 trigger spring (only like $3!), a set of night sights, and a Glock front sight tool. So I'll get to do some experimenting when all of that stuff gets here.

I did get out and shoot it after my polish job the other day, and it was better. Not dramatically so, but easier to roll through the trigger in slow fire and it made a measurable difference on the target. We'll see if the replacement parts make it even better.

Parts got here today for the G43X. I got some XS minimalist night sights (Green front, plain black serrated rear) to replace the plastic dovetail protectors. I also got a Ghost Edge connector and an NY1 Spring.

I installed the sights with a punch, and did the thing your not supposed to do and left the optic on there. No issues, Osight still holding zero.

I think I've settle on the NY1 trigger spring with the Ghost connector. It's not really a revolver-like pull...instead of one long consistent pull, it's still got two stages. But it makes the first stage heavier and the wall lighter, with more of a rolling break, so the transition between the first and second stage is less pronounced. The reset it also very strong and positive. The pull weight went from 4.86lbs factory to 5.65lbs with the edge connector/NY1 spring on my trigger scale. The Edge connector without the NY1 spring was the lightest pull at 3.64lbs, but it was mushier and had a weaker reset.

I still want to do something with the grip. I want that GritGrips frame, and it was supposed to be out by now but it hasn't happened. If they don't get it to market soon, I may need to try some sort of backstrap.

The Grit Grips 43X/48 frame is out now. I've seen new owners post their builds online. They're just hard to come by, b/c they sell out quickly.

Well that's annoying. I have email notifications set up for every variant they offer on their website, and have yet to review an email. I've also been checking the site pretty much daily and have never seen them in stock. Hopefully they get enough supply soon that they can actually get them up there.

Essentially giving me a 43X??

Just got the email back from them, and yes you can buy the stripped frame and move your internals and a G43 upper if you like.

Did they provide any updates on availability?

Excellent! PSA had their complete Micro Dagger frames on sale for $49.99. So I ordered one of those for the time being.
Still on the notify me for the grit grips.

Other than the G21 I was issued as a LEO, I have never owned a glock. However, I did purchase my first strimer fired gun....a new M&P HD (steel frame). The trigger is awful so ordered a replacement from Overwatch Precision

Thanks, let us know if you hear back. I'm trying to decide if I should spend $40 on a backstrap for the 43X, or just wait. I'm going to get the GritGrips frame either way, but if it's months out I'll want something in the interim.

This is what I got from them a couple of weeks ago. But "early February" has kinda come and gone...

thanks for checking in. Yes, we are looking at early February for release – there will be a limited number on the first run so I’d recommend signing up using the ‘notify me’ feature on the product page. If you miss that batch, we’ll be fully stocked a few weeks later.

Handled a Gen 6 Glock 19 today. The new grip feels WAAAAAYYYYY better IMO. The slide lock was a bit of a PITA on the one I was handling and the trigger was basically like every other Glock. Maybe a bit worse than the Gen 5’s but a Glock trigger. Gun was listed at $720 which is too much for a bone stock Glock, again IMO. So my take aways are that is mostly handles like a Glock but is now designed for hands that are not just life sized Lego Mini figure hands.

Umm, English please? Smile Are you saying the grip is bigger than the gen 5 or smaller than the gen 5?

Apologies. The grip is far more contoured for the human hand. I would not say bigger.

Found a deal on a G43X today that I couldn't pass up. $240 cash minus the store credit they owed me, and it's basically brand new, comes with the two factory mags and has some aluminum magwell on it. It isn't the MOS version, but oh-fucking-well, I guess. I didn't have time to start the 4473 on it today since they were closing, and my work schedule won't let me get back to them until maybe Saturday, so it'll be a bit. Still, I'm excited to finally pick one up. I'll take it to my guy across town to have it milled for a hundo, then throw an Osight SE on it. The one I put on my M&P 5.7 is really impressing me. Also gonna order some of the 15rd Palmetto mags y'all talked me into like, twenty pages back.

Ok hear me out. I wonder if there were some kind of reference points on the slide already that would help you point in the direction and see that the gun was on target. Maybe some extraneous pieces of plastic or metal. If there were maybe we could use those as target markers….. no that’s too wordy let’s see…..wait that’s it they let you see that you are on target we could call them sights!!!! Razz I’m just fucking with you of course and typing this as I am about to order another MRDS but this statement made me wonder if we will ever get like my wife in her cars.

One day we are backing out of someplace and the weather was crappy and the backup cam was occluded. She’s all flustered and like “what do I do?” I’m like yeah if only cars had some kind of low tech method to see behind them or at odd angles. Kind of like the bathroom mirror lets us see ourselves or behind us……wait a damn minute…..I have an idea!!!! I mean I thought it was hilarious but you can see how the rest of that conversation went. Eek

My point to that story is I wonder how many folks basically raised on dots totally whiff on the fact the gun also has irons if need be.

Once again says the guy about to order another MRDS.

I can still shoot irons just fine, but I sure do miss the dot when I don't have one. At this point it's just a preference thing.

Smudge, that's a killer deal on your 43x...barely over half of what I paid for mine, and it was Blue Label! Let me know how your Osight SE does...so far mine is holding up just fine and I'm really starting to like it.
