Just saw this on Palmetto State and thought I would give everyone a heads up. I had a 2340 in .357, one of the guns I regretted selling. Might have to think about this.

SIG SAUER SP2022 SO GERMAN MADE UNISSUED/NEW FRENCH POLICE GUNS 9MM 3.9" 15RD PISTOL - SP2022SO

Nice. I bought one of the surplus SP2022 German made years ago. Great shooter and extremely robust and has the ilaflon finish which is really nice. However parts availability seems kind of sparse for the SP29022 these days if that is a concern, at least from typical third party sellers. Don't know how SIGs supply of parts is as in will they sell any to end user. Only part I would be concerned about is RSA replacement and I have at least one spare which typically should be replaced about every 5000 rounds fired.

EDIT: SIG has parts kit for $50, at least for now. Not a bad thing for SP2022 owners to invest in if they shoot their SP2022 regularly or just want to have some spare parts.

https://www.sigsauer.com/parts-kit-sp2022.html

Factory replacement part kit for SP2022. Parts kit includes: Trigger Pivot Retainer, Trigger Spring, Mag Catch Stop, Mag Catch Spring, Decocking Lever Spring, Slide Catch Spring, Firing Pin, Firing Pin Spring, Firing Pin Positioning Pin, Recoil Springs for both 9MM and 40S&W.

If these are anything like I remember the SIG PRO/2022s they will have a wonderful trigger.

I don't think it's a French Police surplus pistol like these, but there's been a 2022 at my LGS for a few months. It keeps calling to me, but that's just because I don't have one yet...I have no practical need for it. I'm trying to exercise self-control. I'm not very good at that...

I’m having similar problems.
Really like the classic Sig type operation in a plastic gun.

Just buy it. You won’t be disappointed.
I have a 9mm and .40.
Having difficulty not picking this up for a trifecta.

Their counter shows 18 left. I bought my SP2022 (triple), first gun, on Memorial Day weekend 2011. Must be all the PSA employees grabbing them up, ha. Nobody knows about the German framed.

Snagged one. Thank you!

Do we expect that these will have the Ilaflon finish? I let one of those go years ago and I regret it.
