I don't think there's such a thing as a Compact without a rail. Are you thinking of the Subcompact, maybe? The answer to the stubbiness is an X-grip adapter and a Compact magazine.

(Not my pic, but I have exactly the same thing.)

There is if you make it so. And if you get rid of the squared off corner on the trigger guard, it will fit a holster for a 229.

First range trip with my new Sig P320 Full-size in 45ACP and I have to say I'm pleased as punch!

Left-to-right, top-to-bottom: First five, ten and 20 rounds, then my best five:

This was isosceles stance, two-handed grip, slow-fire, at ±7 yards, indoors.

(I don't get as much practice as I should. Ammo's just too darn expensive. I do make a point of getting at least an hour every three months in, to maintain some degree of proficiency.)

What can I say about the trigger? It's great, IMHO. Just great. I would not change a thing. In fact: It's damn close in "shootability" to my G34's trigger. Love it!

The only two handguns I shoot better than my new P320 are my G34 and my Ruger Mk. I .22 cal. target pistol.

Boy, am I ever happy Smile

I wouldn't mind one but will wait to find a nice used one in a few years. 9mm or .357 Sig in a Carry.

SIG P320 Carry

Isn't that a Compact? It has four rail slots, but the Carry has only three.

That does appear to be a Compact. The Compact frame has four slots and a 15 round mag. The Carry has only three slots and a 17 round mag.

Yep, as a new owner of a compact myself, that one (above) is also a compact, not a carry. I don't blame the guy, though; the shop where I picked up mine didn't know the difference either, and my compact was marked as a "carry" on the tag. I think the gun room manager saw "320C-9-BSS" on the sticker and just guessed the "C" stood for carry instead of compact.

I noticed the slots the other day on the Sig site. Since the frame length is the same, anybody know why the 3 versus 4 slots?. Seems odd.

The product code for a 9mm compact is 320C-9-*. The carry is 320CA-9-*.

I guess I'm going all in on the P320. Bought a full size and after shooting it sold my G17's.

Going to run the P320 in IDPA this year. And looking for a P320C.
Love to find a RX but not approved in my state of Massachusetts.
The P320 and HK VP9 IMHO have the best out of the box triggers in striker pistols.
After shooting 1911's for 40 years the high bore axis is no concern.
And going to Sig Academy next week for P320 Armorers course.

I probably will buy a Compact 9mm when new OEM magazines cost $20 and the aftermarket is awash with spare parts and holsters for it.

I finally bit the bullet and ordered an RX from Cabela's... backordered until April, but so be it. I can wait a bit.

Anyone manage to get 17 9mm rounds into the full size mags, I can get 16, but that's it, been working it trying to get a spring seated a little more, but no way I can squeeze that last one in either of the 17 rounders I have.

To add to that last post, my five, 15 round compact mags take 15 with no issue at all, they are all from TGS and are MecGar/Italian mags, the full size mags are not.

My P320 17 rounders took a bit of force the first time. The 15 and 12 rounders are a little easier.
