Thankfully we don’t have to make such stressful decisions.

Even though I have never owned one, for some reason I would take a USPc .45. Convert it to LEM, keep the safety and have a pretty decent set up.

I'd like to answer "Sig" since this is the SIGforum, but truth be told my Sigs are only in 9mm and .380.

I've owned multiple .45's but am currently down to a Colt Series 70 Gold Cup National Match 1911, a Springfield Armory Range Officer Target 1911, and a Metro Arms American Classic II 1911. The metro sees the most carry/use.

I have Sigs and Glocks and Rugers and Smith & Wessons in .45 ACP--Have had Colts and Springers and a Les Baer or two...

I think if I was limited to ONE Pistola in .45 ACP it would be my Travis Strahan-built Accu-lock on a 1944 Remington Rand receiver, just because of the "Neat-O Factor"...

Either a P220 or a USP. I lean USP.

Having had a bunch of 45s over the years and still owning quite a few. It would be either one of my Ed Brown or Wilson 1911s. I do like my P220ST very much, but if limited to one I’d keep a 1911.

If I needed it for serious defensive purposes, then probably a Glock 21.

Otherwise, an upper-mid-tier Series 70 Commander 1911, like my Dan Wesson Valor.

My choice would likely change based on the wind and the week but, for today...it would be one of the HK USP .45s I've traded or sold off over the years. Absolute tanks, reliable, accurate, feed anything you could stuff them with.... I'll probably get another at some point, just because.

I've got a bunch of .45ACP guns, including some Autos:
Colt 70 Series 1911
W. German Sig P220
HK USP 45
S&W 4506
and a bunch of revolvers:
S&W 1917 & 1937 Brazilian
Colt 1917
S&W 625
Colt SAA Second Gen convertible (.45 Colt & .45 ACP)
S&W Model of 1950 Target (pre-26)

If I had to pick one, it would probably be the pre-26 or one of my 625s. It's nice to scratch that big bore revolver itch without the overkill of a magnum load.

Here are a couple of pics...

I’d really like to say my custom 1911, or Glock 41, or Glock 30S, or Colt SAA 4 3/4” (hey it’s a 45 too).

But honestly my Glock 36 is on my hip as I'm sitting on the patio reading this. So that’s my choice.
Lightweight, accurate with the Trijicon XR-HD’s, carries unnoticed in the Vedder ProTuck IWB.

If I could only have 1 for ALL purposes, it would be a 1911 platform.

I'd probably also invest the time to have it fitted with ramped barrels and a .38Super ejector, so I could then have it become the basis of a multi-caliber handgun: .40, .357sig, .38Super, 9mm and a .22lr conversion kit- in addition to the .45acp.

Is this cheating??? Wink
