Down.

Yep! Stroke down

I'll come back to the thread and let everyone know what I think about the GG trigger.

Nice. The only thing I never liked about them was the lever magazine release.

Many years ago, when they were new on the market, I had a USP40c. I was doing drills at the range that included drawing from my strong side OWB holster and firing a string of shots. Somehow, I hit the mag release as I pulled the pistol from my holster and ended up hitting dropping the magazine on the ground a few feet in front of me.

Well that spooked me and I decided at that point that this wasn't a carry pistol for me.

The tiny magazine release on the USPC is pretty hard for me to operate. You must have hit it exactly on the right angle in order to have released it. Fluke maybe? But hey that's why they make different pistols, good to have choices!

HK Parts sells a larger surface mag release for the HK USPc pistols. The one below works well for the HK USPc 45. I am not sure if it would work as well for the 9mm. At the present time it appears to be out of stock but it may be something to think about in the future.

Yes, everyone says to use that mag release but they are sold out everywhere. I found a friend who is sending me one from his stash. I should have it next week.

Do it!!! P2000LEM (V2) in 9 milly is the bees knees. It would easily be one of the very last pistols I would ever part with.

Yeah I 100% think it was just a fluke but it scared me. A friend said maybe the magazine wasn't fully seated but I'm sure it was as I had just loaded it in the pistol and released the slide, decocked, then holstered it.

I tried to make it happen again but never pulled it off.

The Hk bug has bit me lately. I’ve had a Hk45c for some time. Over the past few months a P30L, P30sk and P2000 have found their way into the safe. I gotta say, the P30L is an absolute laser. If you put any effort into aiming you’ll get hits. I’d like a USP, maybe a Tactical version.

Yes, the HK's do tend to multiply.
I've had a P2000sk for more than a decade. It's one of my favorite concealed carry pistols.
After many trips out in my woods with my preferred semi-autos (all stainless steel P226 and P220 models) and having to cinch up my belt extra tight to keep my pants from falling down, this spring
I sold all the all stainless steel P220's and rolled the cash into a HK45 full size and a P2000 full size with the olive green (NATO) frame.

Since the USPc in 9mm takes the same magazines as the P2000 full size, I will likely pick up one of those as well.
The polymer frame HK's certainly carry better than the all stainless SIG's.
I've kept all of my all stainless P226's as I prefer them for USPSA competition due to their weight.

I might have to find a P30L myself. I like the P30 line quite a bit. I need to go back to work (retired). Big Grin

The "tiny" mag release on the USP C is one of the things I like about it and would never consider changing it out for a bigger one. IMO, a bigger sized magazine release lever would be WAY easier to hit and drop a magazine. Not something anyone would like to have happen in a concealed carry pistol. But that's just me.

I would love to find a USP C 9mm with LEM trigger for a reasonable price.

LEM Lite is my favorite HK trigger. I had a P30 in that variant. Great trigger.

Very glad to see more hammer fired HK from the back catalog coming available more regularly.

From what I remember, HK typically batches out different pistols, converting the majority of the production line over to the individual series - USP, P2000, P30, etc.

I remember seeing one in a Surefire catalog way way back, I thought it was the sexiest gun ever. I ended up buying one but made the mistake of buying it in .40. Traded or sold it years later. Trigger was pretty rough, but what a cool gun.

Congrats on the USP Compact! It’s a beautiful firearm. I wasn’t aware of the Gray Guns trigger, but am now very intrigued. I’ll also be on the lookout for your report on that. That might be up next on the list for my USPc 9mm if it improves the trigger experience!

Can't believe the USPc with trigger job and RDS cut and plate at LTT sells for $1795. Roll Eyes
Just the base gun is what, $700-$750? That leaves over a grand for the trigger job and the optic cut and plate. Eek

I also have one and really like it. I purchased a threaded barrel for it but have not yet tested with a suppressor.
