If I can’t shoot a particular gun well, I view it as a failure on my part.

My first issued semiautomatic and I didn’t get along at all, but it was the issued pistol and incumbent on me to learn to master it. So I shot it a lot, until I could live with it, just in time for the Chief to decide that it sucked and we switched brands.

the old P series Rugers,

had a P85 when they first came out

the broad side of a barn was safe, even from the inside,

1911's good to go
small bug guns, (I carry a Seecamp in 32 or a J frame often, )

K L and N frames, no issuse

Beretta 92's are a bit big for my hands,

Glock. I have tried several and the grip angle is just wrong for me. I want to shoot them well because of their reputaiton and quality. But I just cant point them naturally.

Do, Or do not. There is no try.

G43

Unfortunately for me, it's the only agency approved backup gun to my Gen 5 G17 MOS (which I shoot very well with irons).

Possible the best feeling gun I've every held, like the made it molded off my hand. Can't hit crap with them. .45 sized one feels awkward and oddly shaped in my hand, I shoot it great.

Glock
Have tried a few variations of the 19, definitely Gen4, but don't recall the others. Just doesn't fit my hands right & results in a less accurate shot. Could probably improve with some practice.
F-i-L has a G38 that I also don't shoot well.
The PSA Dagger, though. Was much more of a natural shot by comparison.

After that, I'd say full size XD, been a long time, but a friend's full-size XD45 just wasn't as 'shootable' as the P220ST & USP45 we also had out that day.

I really struggle with the 229 for some reason. Also Ruger sp101s. I can pick up a 2022 and shoot it lights out, 229 not so much

Glock 48. The only gun that I had that shot extremely left. I wasn't the only one that shot that gun left while I had it.

Two guns come to mind.
P365 & P229

The 365 is, I think, just too small for my hands. The 229.. hell if I know, but I’m lucky to hit the broadside of a barn with that gun.

G17 (balance/grip angle)
Most revolvers in single action (ironically with DA I'm much better)
Rainbow Sigs (never shot one, but I will intentionally miss and then throw them into the toilet)

And so it's gone.

Ruger .380 Max.
Wanted to love it, just don't. I like the size, the sights and the capacity.
The grip seems too square. And it shoots low or me.
Ugh.
