P320 Spectre Comp

What is it with the cheesy, pimptastic gold parts on SIG's pistols of late? As an old girlfriend of mine would have said, "Their taste is in their mouth."

Can we please leave this kind of tacky treatment to Taurus? This is a bad phase. Please stop doing this.

Aside from the gold bling, this is a handsome pistol.

I bet Ron Cohen is seeing what companies like Zev Technologies are doing with Glocks, and how well they are selling. He likely decided that he's have Sig do the same with their own pistols, before a third party beat them to it.

A new era of compensated pistols.

I believe I’ll stay with the old era type

Agreed, apart from the gold, and the windows in the slide, it's not bad looking.

I suspect the gold bling is TiN coating. If so: It's actually functional Smile <looks at the product page...> Yup.

I'm not fond of the look, either.

That coating comes in other colors- for instance, BLACK.

I did not know that.

Every time I've seen it before it's been gold.

Not being a fan of bling, and particularly gold bling, I have not been inclined to purchase anything with TiN coatings.

part of it is Movie Magic,, Wick uses the JW2 Combat Master G34 from Taran Tactical with the gold color ionbonded "bronze" barrel, tends to feed the frenzy of buyers looking for the same or similar look pistols...

Not a TiN fan, but I dig the factory comp and front sight configuration. I hope the comp works.

If that slide made its way into the custom build site and I could make an AXG comped gun, I might be willing to pay the premium.

I could not agree more. Honestly, there's nothing wrong with the standard DLC finish...kept properly lubed, my regular BLACK P320 barrel shows virtually no wear after thousands of rounds. And more importantly, function has been 100%. I'm not sure what advantage there is to making a handgun look like something designed as an accessory for an 80's pimp.

Yay! Another compensated nine!

I can live with the TiN coating and it does look better than that heap they came out with last month with the ingrown barrel...

At least everybody gets to know it was from the CUSTOM WORKS. Roll Eyes

I would like to see more of the 365 slide with integrated comp instead of the standard threaded barrel screw on comp style.

SIG's just behind what other people in the aftermarket have been doing for like 2 years now in the aftermarket. The 320 is really gaining ground on Glock for the Internet "cool guy" gun community.

Compact length slide with compensator on full-size X frame is very much in vogue. It's also quite functional.

Frankly, this is the best looking "custom" thing SIG has done in quite a while. I'm not a huge fan of the TiN coating, but the rest looks good and is functional. Definitely could do without the tramp stamp logo on the side.

That said, this interesting release probably won't sway me into buying this vs. building my own version of the same thing.

I like the pistol. I'll just get a black barrel. The gold trigger is fine. The holes are fine the compensator looks good. The heavier frame is a delightfull addition, 40 ounces of wonderful.

Sorry, but I'll take a plain but reliable P320 over this blingstrosity any day. And while compensators may be great on a competition gun, they're a huge no go for me on anything that might be carried concealed and used at night.
