Always thought DAK was under appreciated.Qual scores for me were generally better with DAK than DA/SA, but DAK is less efficient than DAO for dry fire drills because slide still has to be partially racked to get the lighter DAK pull.
My old agency went to DAK in 2004 in the P226, P229 and P239, all in .357 Sig. I bought my P229 and P239 when they retired them in 2017, but still carried them anyway. I retired myself in 2024, and I am still carrying them. Most folks just never understood it or took the time to excel at it. That system 'shoots in' great, both of mine have amazingly good street triggers. Sub five pound polystriker triggers are completely unnecessary on a street gun, IMHO. The DAK is no different than carrying a revolver with a decent trigger, only they hold more ammo and reload faster. This message has been edited. Last edited by: TexasRaider,
