My carry gun is a DAK Sig 239 in 40 S&W.
I see no reason to change.

Good choice. It's what I carry. I was just wondering if I was the only one or are there more of us.

P239 in 9mm. Another in 357 SIg. I just picked up a couple Sig P250’s. One in 9mm. One in .40. And, I often carry a Kahr K9. Yeah. I like DA guns.

Went the way of the Glock years ago.
But there’s still a few of you around.

I have a 229 .40 DAK. It's a duty size gun and too big for me to CCW but I do shoot it.

That is one DAK I regret selling. It had the best trigger of any DAK I owned. Maybe I'll run across one again. Big Grin

I really enjoy the DAK system and went on a bit of a tear when you could buy the conversion kits from Sig.

Always thought DAK was under appreciated.Qual scores for me were generally better with DAK than DA/SA, but DAK is less efficient than DAO for dry fire drills because slide still has to be partially racked to get the lighter DAK pull.

My old agency went to DAK in 2004 in the P226, P229 and P239, all in .357 Sig. I bought my P229 and P239 when they retired them in 2017, but still carried them anyway. I retired myself in 2024, and I am still carrying them. Most folks just never understood it or took the time to excel at it. That system 'shoots in' great, both of mine have amazingly good street triggers. Sub five pound polystriker triggers are completely unnecessary on a street gun, IMHO. The DAK is no different than carrying a revolver with a decent trigger, only they hold more ammo and reload faster.
