I work hard all day I am tired of throwing on khaki shorts.
My gym shorts are much more comfortable.
Best way to do this? Belly band or something?

Try a Remora holster: https://www.remoraholsterstore...stband-holster-gen2/

A small gun like a G43 works decently well IWB in gym shorts with one of those, as long as you adjust the drawstring correctly. I wouldn't go running with it or carry it like that full time/all day, but it stays put for normal household bumming around, minor chores, lawn mowing, and quick trips to the gas station.

A Remora doubles as a pocket holster, if so desired.

Smart Carry works well. I have the NRA-branded model, and it goes running with me 3x a week. Just rotate it to 3 o'clock and you're good to go.

+1 on Smart Carry, but the much cheaper NRA model is out of stock. Here, get $10 off on the real McCoy:

I’ve been doing this for a long time. Started with a shield, then switched to a 43. I use a plain kydex IWB holster with the thick plastic clip. For the last 3 years I’ve mowed 6-12 yards on the side usually wearing gym shorts and also go running some, 2-3 miles at a time. With the drawstring tied I’ve never had a problem. The gun stays put and it comes out of the holster clean if needed. I’ve even carried a glock 19 a few times with gym shorts.

It’s obviously not as secure as pants/shorts with a regular belt but it it’s worked fine for me. One plus is people don’t expect you to have a gun on you when you’re wearing gym shorts.

Plus 3 on the Smart Carry. It’s my go to for anything but dress slacks and blue jeans. Drawing while seated in my truck is a PITA, but standing, it’s still a fast draw. Plus you can put your DL/CCW card/CC in the pouch along with a spare mag. No wallet is nice.

I’ve hidden a Glock 26 and a Sig P320SC just as easy as I did with my Glock 43 and currently with my P365.

Fiancée uses crossbreed minituck and replaced the included clips with Ulticlips. She wears it all the time with sweat pants and without a belt all the time.

Another very pleased Smartcarry owner here, works great with gym shorts, which is exactly why I bought mine.

Looks like SmartCarry it is.
I sent the NRA an email to see if they will have anymore in stock soon.
I like the $20 price tag vs. $55 with the coupon code.

FWIW, I have a Smart Carry too and I think it is vastly inferior to the option I had mentioned. YMMV.

You must have some extra strong elastic in your gym shorts.

+1 for the Remora. I have my 43 in it without any issues.

Instead how about something like a NAA PUG?

5 rounds of potent .22 Magnum and so small and light that neither you or anyone else will even notice it.

With a wallet and keys in the pockets there is no way adding the 43 would the shorts stay up.

This is what I do also, but with a Stealthgear Onyx. Tie the drawstring and go. Nobody’s ever noticed that I could tell.

I can clip a Vedder LiteTuck on Gym Shorts or sweats with not much of an issue. Tighten up the draw string and you're good around the house. Sure, you ain't gonna run very well but hey you are looking for comfort, right?

I do it all the time with a cell phone on top of all that stuff.
