Those of you with the IWB the clips hold suffiecently when you draw?
I have a kydex Holster I used while waiting on my RGrizzle. I’ll give it a try but figured it would be too heavy and not stay clipped when drawn.

Yes, they do. The clips on my Stealthgear are pretty good. Tie the drawstring a hair tighter than you normally would and you should be fine as long as your ride height isn’t set too high. Also, I wear my holster tucked into the underwear so that the clips are grabbing everything I’m wearing and the holster backing is against my skin. It’s very easy to draw even with the retention set fairly tight.

Also, your concerns about the weight with wallet, keys, cell phone, etc....? I do all that and carry a 19, not a 43.

Look, it’s not going to carry the way it would as if you were wearing a gun belt, but that’s not the idea.

Remora Micro clip. I carry in draw string shorts regularly. The sticky material with the added security of a metal clip make it a very reliable package. The holster stays put when you draw.

Apparently you don't need a holster at all.

my Gould and Goodrich belly band is ideal. Fits my p365, glock 33. Walk my dog every night using it. Has slot for gun, ccp id, spare mag.

Love my Sigs but carry my Glocks

Well that was disturbing!!!

I am not really digging the IWB with the gym shorts. It works for around the house no problem.
I have the drawstring cranked felt like I was going to rip the eyelets.
The Holster stays tucked and the gun comes out with no issue. The Holster floats a bit when sitting and moving.

Not sure why it keeps capitalizing Holster.

I’ll try some other shorts but will likely end up with a Smart Carry.

With a wallet and keys in the pockets there is no way adding the 43 would the shorts stay up.

I presume we all have different priorities. My wallet, keys, cell phone and whatever else I've with me get locked up in a locker. I carry the 43 to have a gun on me; keep all my junk one me at all times is not a concern.

You must have some extra strong elastic in your gym shorts.

Drawstring but I also clip over both the shorts and underwear.

I am not talking about actually wearing them at the gym.
I am talking wearing them out and about. So having keys and wallet on me is a must.

I reread the tucked in the under britches part added that to the mix and it helped a bit. So I’ll keep fooling with it.
May just take some getting used to. Just feels so unsecure.

Because compared to normal shorts / pants and a real gun belt, it is.

Hasn't been an issue with that, and cell phone with it. Admittedly, I don't do a lot of out and about in gym clothes. I might stop by a grocery store etc but I would normally not spend a lot of time outside of gym in those clothes.

A carabiner to clip your keychain inside the left side of the waistband does well to offset and distribute the weight. I find stuffing the pockets leads to this kind "swinging weight" thing going on. Cell phone in right pocket with clipped knife, wallet in left pocket, keys clipped and pistol holstered, I can move around pretty comfortably and without worry.

I say again, if I can do it with a 19 pretty regularly, you can surely do it with a 43. Wink

Never had luck carrying much of anything in gym shorts without undue SAG much ledd any kind of gun supported off the shorts.
Maybe smartcarry or belly band...

Would gym shorts and a belly band or some other carry method that tugs on the gym shorts and makes them hard to keep up really be more comfortable than just wearing the khaki shorts in the first place?

If you are going to carry a heavyish object, maybe gym shorts just aren't the best choice.

Hence the reason I am leaning towards the smart carry. Nothing tugging on the shorts.
The IWB with the drawstring tight worked and was not horrible. Just not as secure feeling as I would like.

I found these shorts at Sams for $15.
They are very light and kind of stretch. Very comfortable and have beltloops and pockets like regular pants.
Problem solved. Just as light weight and comfortable as Gym shorts.

Pockets could be a touch bigger.

I bought 4 pair. Hopefully they hold up well.
Price tag says $75.00 Roll Eyes
