CE stands for Collector Edition. The only difference is that the E26-9-40YR-CE version has 40th Anniversary engraved on the side. The E26-9-40YR does not have engraving, otherwise these pistols identical.

Well shit, not happy about that. Will try to cancel my order in the morning. It has not shipped yet.

I just picked up mine this afternoon. I ended up paying $749 but that's ok I think it's still a good value and I prefer that it's not a "Collector Edition". And I don't have to call Sig to order an owners manual because it's included.

Was able to cancel my order at Palmetto State for the CE model. Very thankful I figured that out before it shipped. Can’t stand when Firearms manufacturers ruin a perfectly good handgun by putting shit like that on it. That would be overpriced at $299.

Mine arrived Wednesday but I didn’t pick it up until yesterday afternoon.
I had ordered the non-CE version.

Cleaned and lubed it this morning and went to the range with it and its MK-25 brethren.
I was equally accurate with both pistols and did not see any difference between the two of them. Other than the rail of course.

No pics because I’m lazy.

If I received one of the CE models, I would remove the paint and either replace it with "HK" RED or use no paint at all.

Just checking-in - anyone who recently ordered and received your 40-year P226 have a chance to get to the range, etc.?

Happened to be carrying mine today and this thread crossed my mind.

I had mine at the range last week and while it rattles like a can full of BBs, it shot great. Granted I did change the slide to an optic ready one as I much prefer a red dot on most days.

One of the reviewers posted a pic on Palmetto State Armory's ad for the CE. I was surprised PSA didn't. I was going to pick one up until I saw the pic, and decided to look for one on GunBroker instead.

I got mine but haven't had time to take it out. It does have the super ugly etching and I'm guessing I'm one of 2000 owners that has a 1 of 2000 P226.

SKU number from box is: E26-9-40YR-CE

If you see one of these, avoid it and get the non-CE version if you're looking for a collectible. I got it as a shooter because of the price and am not worried about banging it around.

The Hogue grips are awesome!
