Hmm, let's see how we can justify this...er, adjusting for inflation from the mid 1980s...carry the one...divide by that...well, whaddayaknow...IT'S A DEAL! Big Grin

So $1200 in 2024, is the equivalent of $395 in 1984.

I bought my first P226 in 1989 for $600.
Yeah, I think I paid $450 for mine LNIB in 1994. Still my favorite pistol.

I saw that yellow box at the last show, and my heart skipped a bit, LOL. Then, the dealer told me about this model...sigh.

Now, available at Grabagun for $830, a far cry from the $1200 tag when first released. Lol.

When I saw it hit $799 I said "why not" and snagged one.

I almost made the purchase for $ 799, but then I thought about it a little more and decided that this Anniversary edition is not going to really replace the P226 folded slide model.

With the way the hardware market is over saturated with firearms, I would bet there would be other deals coming down the pike.

I replaced my P228 and HK P7 with a HK P2000SK 9mm and have not looked back.

With the closeout pricing on the P2000SK (40S&W) I am trying to decide if I really need a $ 399 pistol. A few years ago I would have done it already. But as you get older and look at all the stuff you have around - you might decide it's time to clear things out - rather then adding to the stack. But I have always been a sucker for a good deal.

Well, that G-A-G price does beat GB, for sure. Lots of 40th Anniversary guns still there at MSRP with a couple observed recently at the $999 mark.

The one I purchased nearly-new from a fellow Forumite continues to impress. I’d not rule-out picking up another of them.

*** Down to $800 today ***. Can't do better than that for a NIB classic all metal SIG.

Wow again - I get all-to-regular emails from Palmetto State Armory - latest one shows this pistol priced at $749.

Dumping remaining inventory. Incredible!

They (PSA) also have the Beretta 92G Elite LTT clearance at $750. Likely no trigger job, though. But still...

Yeah, a few years ago they announced a P232 with an American-style mag release. I would love to have one of those.

Changing the P225A to use different mags was ridiculously stupid, because P225 and P225A owners will have no other source for mags as they become more scarce.

A P232 with a button magazine release? Was this only a planned gun or one actually put into production?

A P232 with a slide release/lock would be nice too. Combine the slide release with the decocker lever.

If I only endless amount of money to have my random gun ideas built.

Agree that the P225 and P225A1 mags are dumb not being interchangeable, but at least the A1 mags are still available from Sig (last I checked) unlike the 239 mags that they just turned the switch off on... Supposedly 225A1 mags will go in a 239, but the bottom won't look right.

Yeah, that PSA deal is definitely the winner of the good deal award:
