The cake is a lie! |
G-Code is usually my go to for appendix, but since they won't make an Incog for the TLR-7A, I went with Tenicor. I've emailed them a couple times about it, and they just say "keep up with our social media for news of new products, blah blah".

I carry mostly IWB in a Milt Sparks VM2 but if I do decide to carry OWB it’s in a Kramer holster.

Life's too short to live by the rules |
As with most of us, I have two dresser drawers and a chest filled with many types and brands of holsters, but I mostly use Milt Spark's VM2s or a clone of that design. If it's OWB, it's usually a standard pancake style that I get from a local leather holster maker at our gun shows (Backwoods Leather). Of all the holsters I own, the VM2's are by far my favorite.

I've always been a big fan of Crossbreed SuperTucks and MiniTucks, but I recently got a JM4 Tactical QCC and it's quickly becoming my favorite carry holster.

For me the only choice is RGrizzle City Slicker 2. Very comfortable, very concealable and the reinforced mouth makes for easy reholstering. Ryan does incredible work. It took a long time for me to be willing to spend that much on a holster but then I added how much I spent on cheaper holsters trying to find one I liked. Now I just consider it part of the cost of any gun I am going to carry. "You know, Scotland has its own martial arts. Yeah, it's called Fuck You. It's mostly just head butting and then kicking people when they're on the ground." - Charlie MacKenzie (Mike Myers in "So I Married an Axe Murderer")

I can tell you what holster I will NOT recommend, FIST. I ordered one and waited about 4 months. They offered a shoulder holster that featured a vertical draw with a pivoting holster for easy draw. At the time I ordered they offered the holster in Kydex and leather, I chose Kydex because of the thinner profile. What a piece of JUNK! The holster is flimsy and the rotating draw feature is a joke. I do believe my CZ SP01 could actually fall through the gap in the holster that is supposed to be for the "rotating"draw feature. The leather straps have no shoulder area that is broad to spread the weight of the pistol out on the shoulder. The hardware appears to be cheap. I contacted FIST after I received the holster and asked for a full refund, SILENCE! A complete waste of $150+.

I like the Blackhawk Serpa for anything except a 1911. You can do cartwheels in that holster and the retention is great. Seems like the only guys that shoot themselves in the ass with the Serpa carry the 1911. I think it has to do with the lightweight triggers on certain 1911. For leather holsters Ritchie Holsters has great wearing goods in classic designs.

Rocking? Gibson Les Paul...except I don't play the guitar. As for what my holster of choice is for my EDC: StealthGear Revolution. Kydex/synthetic liner hybrid at the 4:30 position. It's held up very well over the past 4 years or so. Retention continues to be solid though every so often I do have to check on the tightness of its retention screws. Considering how corrosive my sweat is, a robust body liner/shield for me is a MUST for anything newer than an early Tenifer Gen3 Glock. The Revo is pretty good in this regard, though somewhat compromised since its key to comfort against the skin of my torso are its aeration holes. Conversely leather is now a no-go for me. I used to use a DeSantis leather holster with my previous carry G19, an early Gen3 that very much had been treated with Tenifer. That was one real comfortable holster, but for the life of me I no longer remember what model it was. However it also wicked way too much of that hazmat sweat of mine up. That Gen3 G19 EDC never suffered but my current EDC Gen4 G23 (post-Tenifer) would not have fared well at all if I had continued to use that holster. Even with decently designed liners, that later gun's metal bits will rust and pit without almost fanatical care and oversight. Recently swapped out the factory pins for titanium ones because I got tired of the almost weekly rust buildup on the body-facing ends of the trigger and locking block pins. Still amazed at how quickly the slide started pitting when I forgot to wipe down the gun for a week or two. Damn Glock and their penny-pinching bean counters... -MG
