I have a fair number of Wicked Grips that I don't have handguns for (or that already have grips I like) - yet. Some of the designs are works of art.

You never know, you might end up with the right pistol and the grips wouldn't be available. At least that's what I tell myself.

Not grips but I have been known to buy magazines and ammo for guns I don't have. Then I start looking for a deal on the gun. I thought that was normal behavior. Big Grin

That’s perfect as now there’s no reason to talk yourself out of a nice Colt government model. Longmire was a great show BTW.

Was at a small collectors show and an old gent was clearing out his basement, he had cartons of government surplus gun parts that he had bought in the 50's. Found two 1903 barrels still in the wrap, one 1944 dated Garand barrel, and a barrel,Lyman rear sight, stock, and seven mags for a Springfield 1922. Held onto them for 20 years, finally at a show a butchered up 1922, haggled over the travesty that had been done to it, got it home and restored it to its true glory

There is nothing wrong with buying grips first. Just make sure it’s a 45acp ! I know you will. I remember you having a Sig P220 compact dak at Dick’s cabin in PA some years back. Series 70, to go along with the stag’s…I can picture it in my mind.

Yep, I bought grips, magazines and even a threaded barrel for the German-proofed SP2022 in 9mm that I hunted for over a decade.

I could see buying a set of Spegel grips for the Hi-Power I don't currently have. Best looking and best made grips available.

Support the entire Constitution, not just the parts you like.
Common sense isn't "right wing" unless you are too far to the left.

I came across an Icarus grip module for a P365 in a miscellaneous parts bin at the LGS for $100. MSRP is $399. Had it for a year before I bought the actual pistol.

You have a great memory Andy! Hope all is well. I just went out to lunch with Dick this past Friday. We only live about 20 miles from each other.

And yes, it'll be a Colt chambered in God's caliber Wink
