We see some of the same things where I am at. I live two counties over the IN state line from IL and we have had a wild influx of FIB’s that’s have slowly changed some of our communities but we are still mostly rural and conservative. However, we almost had a new indoor range but it was defeated by a liberal coalition. I also have been that CAlifornian but I have adapted over time. Exact same thing in Austin and Dallas. I've said this before on here. A close friend of 25 years lives in Austin. He's like my little brother so he, his family, children, etc, are always in my prayers. He is a devout Catholic (spare the hate) who goes to Mass and actually practices his faith by example. He's one of those super dad types like many of you. He just turned 40 but is old school Texas. Loves West Texas and their ways, mannerisms, etc. But he has to live in Austin for his profession. He is a producer in music and in a very well known band. His son, elementary aged at the time, around 10. Well he bought him a low powered bb gun. The manual cock single shot kind. He set up a target in the back yard. And this has always been a neighborhood bordering on blue/white collar. Modest home, modest neighborhood, nothing fancy. It's in Austin proper but was once a working neighborhood if that makes sense. So his son, really good kid, no cell phone, no social media, and limited TV. They've raised him and 2 his 2 daughters old school. And my lil bro is hardcore Republican, what I would consider a moderate but doesn't engage in politics like many of us. I'm rambling, sorry, so his kid is shooting target, iirc, taped up on a tree. Neighbor across the street calls APD. They roll like 3 squad cars. Bitch ass neighbor Californian transplant c word called it in as a shooting. APD rolls, investigates, and my Christian brother is out there defending himself, defending his son, and defending his property and rights. He wins out. APD apologizes to him, one by one they leave. They all split and that fucking lady comes across the street and states she is scared of guns, heard gun shots, blah blah blah. My bro in his way, well I can translate by saying he had to restrain himself. He grew up poor, like I did, earning his way since he was a teenager. Nobody, like me, gave him a damn thing, everything is earned. That bitch is safe spacing anti-gun, "I'm from California and we don't allow guns there" blah blah. His words were something like "deal with it, no laws broken, my son has a bb gun and he wssn't firing it in the street." Now I'm North of Dallas so I don't know Austin law but the cops, even if you can't shoot a low powered bb gun in your back yard, did not give 2 fucks, so credit to them, and left him alone and apologized. He still has to deal with the Californian bitch neighbor. I get one of these people on my street, after my taxes have exponentially gone up, with all the traffic here. And we're talking bumper to bumper stops on the weekends on freeways which used to be easy peasy to drive around on the weekends, run errands or get this, actually do things. IF I get one of these on my street, I'm strapping up when I mow, any time I'm outside of my property, my park, etc. Open carrying like a mofo. I'm sick of it, as sick of it as the people in Arizona, Austin, and apparently SLC, Boise, etc. My friend in Austin also tells me (I used to go to Austin to play shows/work, 6 times a year and saw the changes myself) that the Californians have changed the city. Plastic bags at the grocery store have been banned. Homeless everywhere, and like Boise, normal working families are being pushed out due to the escalating property prices. Austin home prices are now just like California. He has a working man's house and his taxes are now $1,000.00 a month on that thing and it's not even that big or fancy. We're all sick of it in Texas. And get this, the Californian transplants in Austin are now raising holy hell about TX property taxes and are politicking their asses off trying to get a bill into the state legislature to get property taxes capped like they had in California. Why didn't you stay there mother fuckers? Where your property tax was grandfathered or whatever they call it. They don't give a shit about Texas, our culture, our ways, nothing. All they care about is themselves. Like Idaho, I want a bill introduced, if you migrate here from California, then you pay more property tax, much more and bear the brunt all of us natives are currently paying. If you move here from somewhere else, I'm good with it. Job transfers you here, Ok. You move here from California then go fuck yourself, pay triple property tax and take all these extra costs you caused and eat them. What am I doing? I'm talking to an empty telephone

Sounds like my sister. We get along but she is a democrat and moved to Las Vegas wanting to escape Illinois weather and cost of living. She was telling me aboot a tax referendum she voted for because she liked the stuff is was promised to do and told me "it was only for a few hundred dollars and I mean are taxes are so low already why not".

They just tried to get us to approve a state income tax on the November vote and it got crushed. https://news.ballotpedia.org/2...-a-state-income-tax/ Gee I wonder where this bright idea of it getting this far came from? State income tax got a big fuck no from voters. Commies go back to California and take your liberal politics back with you. Or better yet, why don't all the snowflake liberal California hippies go to Hahn's island and set up shop there. You can run your own government, not allow guns, and fund everything you want. Catch is you can't leave if your government fails so you'll die on Hahn's island. It was nice meeting ya What am I doing? I'm talking to an empty telephone

The idiot Dem. libs flocking out of the Chicago area (after they have completely destroyed the are) and New York, to Republican areas of the country is also going to help destroy those republican areas of our country. Many Il. workers can't wait to move after they can collect there VERY generous pensions. They forget why they want to move and infect the area they move too.

Screwing up Seattle, Portland and the West coast, the twinkies take up residence here to infect the state with the disease of progressive control. They are like rabid dogs and infected vermin!

Since they from all over the country the “foreigners” are gentrifying New Orleans and doing their very best to remove the “New Orleans” out of “New Orleans” Seriously pisses me off Same happened in Atlanta when all the people moved into the Buckhead area then aged a bit and started bitching about the Buckhead area and thus changed it ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Live today as if it may be your last and learn today as if you will live forever

Yeah, we were stationed at Carson in 1960--61. Only problem then was the local cops following cars with Ft. Carson stickers around the town, trying to force them into committing a traffic violation. Base commander addressed the issue with the local politicraps, led by the mayor and who were completely opposed to having troops from the fort in their town. Including those living in rented houses/apartments. Got so bad that they base commanders moved families out of Colorado Springs on to the base, and when there was not room enough on base, he set up a bus service to haul them some distance away, including for PX and commissary runs for the families. Took 1 payday (once a month back then) for the merchants to get bombarded with LOUD complaints from the merchants and business members about their loss of revenue. Amazing how quickly that shit came to an end when their sales and profits took a major hit! Fortunately, we got shipped out of there and I ended up in Iran and family with her parents in Germany. Last time we were in Colorado, we stopped once for fuel and were convinced we didn't want to spend any time east of the divide. CA native here... Now happily living in Cincinnati. I NEVER mention the fact that I am from CA and have nothing to identify myself as a native Californian. There are a couple of people in my neighborhood that have moved here since that proudly display the fact that they are from CA. I personally cannot stand it. IMMERSE yourself in your new surroundings and embrace what is foreign to you. Yes the Mexican food sucks here and yes it's a pain sometimes that everything closes at 9pm. Deal with it. ____________________________ 220/229/228/226/P6/225/1911's/SP2022/239/P320 WTB- P245 or P220 compact w/ German frame

As a CA native and current resident, I'd like to extend a hearty thank you for taking all the lefty Carpetbaggers off our hands. Hopefully, many of them are returning to 'their roots' and getting a slap of reality of how the rest of the country thinks of their transient and leftist ways. A big chunk of these transplants originate from 'somewhere-ville back East', went to college and their first 'real job' was in CA. They moved out with a gf/bf, stuck around for 10-15 years, got married to somebody who's also from 'somewhere-ville back East', had kids and realized it's kinda expensive to raise a family, while still voting Dem/Green, shopping at Whole Paycheck, attending protests once a month while sniffing each other's farts.

yeah, its been a bad summer and its disheartening I see lots of CA plates, and I know there are good people from CA moving here but the connotation of a CA plate is they're here to destroy whats left of our way of life en plates from Oregon and Washington State - and I just cringe [B] Against ALL enemies, foreign and DOMESTIC
