| Sadly, many of the people moving from California are people who want a more conservative lifestyle and are branded with the same wide brush as those who want to change everything. Unfortunately, due to their windfalls when selling their property in CA, they cause much of the same problems that the libtards do by unknowingly overpaying for property thereby causing a situation where locals can't afford to buy. My wife and I are choosing to leave Nevada partially due to the libtard invasion (I think of them as locusts) and it's amazing how "cheap" housing is east of the Rockies compared to what people have to pay in the West.

Still finding my way

| In Colorado a home that sold for $250k in 2014 are now in the $450-$500k range. Rent for a 1 bedroom starter apartment went from about $800 a month to $1200-$1500 in the same time period. It really is hard on the kids who are wanting to move out of their parent's house and get their start because you have to make $25hr or better just to cover the cost of living out here. |

Those prices are pretty close to us in the Dallas area. I have friends at work that actually make what I would call decent money. 75-80k per year or a little more and cannot afford a house here. It's ridiculous. They are looking at an hour away with no traffic. Pushing their boss to let them work alternate time schedules so they aren't sitting in a 2 hour commute or longer. Shit is crazy. My taxes are becoming a severe burden and I'll be pushed out or taxed out of my own neighborhood well before retirement and I bought my house 13 years ago when it was extremely affordable.

With Arizona and New Mexico between Texas and California, maybe we should help Arizona put up the wall. New Mexico is a Blue state--maybe the wall could go up between it and Texas. California Liberals would feel right at home in New Mexico, I think. flashguy
