Speaking of the 1980 Olympics and the Miracle on Ice, there was another athlete in the 1980 Olympics that played hockey with two of the USA Hockey Team members, Mark Johnson and Bob Suter, while they were growing up in Madison, Wisconsin. The guy did ok winning 5 gold medals in speed skating, Eric Heiden. Then there’s Bonnie Blair who moved to Wisconsin to train and still lives in Delafield. Dan Jansen was born in West Allis.

These were household names right up there with Molitor, Gantner, and Yount when I was growing up and living in SE Wisconsin. I’ll probably watch some.

I’ll watch some if I’m flipping channels and something looks interesting. I do typically find curling to be mesmerizing.

As for China, I’m no fan, but that won’t stop me. I don’t try to boycott everything from countries, networks, or people, with whom I disagree politically. Frankly I’m a little surprised to see so much negativity here. Do you all boycott all Chinese products, or just the Olympics? I do try to buy things made in the USA, but I don’t not buy a radio because a wire or chip was made in China. I’m not sure you can live in the US free of Chinese touched products. I KNOW you can’t watch any TV or movies that aren’t influenced by or absolutely dominated by raging liberals.

I don't really plan on watching too much of anything. But if they're running a sport I find interesting, when I'm available to watch it, it might get flipped to.

100% will not buy CCP or PRC goods.

They’re actively trying to kill us with their terrorism, economic terrorism, fentanyl poisoning of out young kids/adults and stealing our intellectual property as fast as they can.

It’s suicide to continue to do so.

There will be nothing for my children and their children. Hope enjoy your cheap shit.

I already stated that I prefer made in the U.S., and I said nothing about cheap shit. My comment is directed to the "all or nothing" attitude that is apparently present here, with so many people saying that they won't watch the Olympics because it's in China.

Do you really think that if I walked into your house it would take me more than 2 minutes to find something made in China?

I'm sure you'll find some things. For several years I've cut 90% of the Chinese products out of our lives. Don't underestimate the amount of products that are sold as made in USA that are only assembled in the USA. What I can do is avoid Chinese brands. I've been avoiding Canadian brands for decades now also. Probably more people than you would think are very capable of not supporting terrorism with their purchases. Not everyone rolls over when it doesn't suit them. Not every American is a luke-warm sellout. There is probably more of us than you think.

Not sure what the viewer turn out will look like - but I have never seen as much television commercial promotions for an Olympic Games as this one.

Been many years since I watched the Olympics.

Too many people trying to send messages, push agenda’s, etc. Just like professional sports, once they start that crap they are dead to me.
