I am ECSTATIC the NHL decided not to compete!!! Professional players have NO PLACE in the Olympics, but we've known the Ruskies have been sending professional players for DECADES! I used to like the winter Olympics, watched skiing, ice hockey, lots of it.

The last +/- two years have sucked beyond belief, and even if I wanted to, I can't find the time. All because of the host country. I can't believe the world courts, bodies, governments, whatever, have such teeny tiny testicles to allow this, forget pushing back with any sanctions. Its f**king surreal

I definitely know I am in the minority here but I will watch some of the events. Having known a few Olympians in my day I know of the sacrifices these kids (some of them anyway) have had to make to get to the Olympics so I will watch some, if not for them.

Choosing to drown out the ChiCom nonsense with some select bourbon....

If it was just about the sports I would. Unfortunately the networks will ruin it with tons of fluff pieces and unwanted comments.

Will I watch? Not a chance, but then again, I rarely ever do.

For several decades now every city that has hosted Olympics has wished like hell they never did.
So, I'm glad Beijing is doing it, but I won't be watching any of it.

As of 10:30 ET today: With 140 respondents: 2/3 usually watch some or all of the Winter Olympics. 87% won't watch them at all this year.

If that's at all indicative of the general population it won't make whichever network's carrying it very happy.

We used to watch as much as possible but that changed when they stopped showing entire events and just jumped around to whatever, with all the garbage SJW junk front and center.

Since the last Olympics, we’ve dumped satellite/stopped live tv.

I've watched the Winter Olympics in the past, but won't watch it this year. I do not care for the Summer Olympics at all.
