With so much stupidity and ignorance on display from so many Americans this year, should there be restrictions on who can and can't vote? And what would they be? Or maybe none are needed. What do think?

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

Have the citizens vote for their candidates in the primaries, and then the State Legislatures pick the President. Done.

United States citizens 18 and older.

There will always be stupid. Just make elections are without fraud.

No problem requiring ID to vote.

I think voting booths ought to be wired so that if you are a Leftist you get a distressing jolt to the privates.

No one on government assistance should be allowed to vote. They will always vote for more aid while the rest of us work our asses off.

I tend to lean towards property owners but definitely no one on government assistance.

I suppose anyone can vote. It’s not the votes that matter it’s who counts the votes.

Any American citizen, 18 years of age or older, with a high school diploma or GED, that has not been convicted off a felony, can produce a valid picture I.D., and is properly registered to vote.

All voting in person, with absentee voting allowed only in cases of inability to be at their appropriate voting precinct due to physical disability, or military service or other out-of-area employment.

Of legal age (18+), without felony convictions, with ID. Who's to say, beyond those basic requirements, who is or is not "worthy?"

Property owners have skin in the game. They have proven they’re responsible. That’s why the Founders said only they could vote.
