He was awarded it in 2012, in his 12th year of presidency. Looks like a PR move on the part of the Judo association or whatever it's called.

They revoked it because he invaded Ukraine. So he's not really a black belt.

I love how this is already a three page thread, with serious replies, no less.

Putin's black belt in judo is (supposedly) legitimate, having been awarded 8th dan in 2012. His other titles are honorary (e.g. taekwondo), and subject to revocation.

I suspect Musk is more likely to be among the living in 5 years than either Putin or the Chechen guy.

Why don't you just tell me?

I was thinking the same thing, if you know, why are we having to search for it? Isn’t that what the forum is for? Sharing information…

So I just spent a few minutes looking around. No conclusive reason. Possibly Covid? That’s what some stories allude to. So if you know, I’d love to hear why.

There has been speculation that Putin is dying of cancer, maybe intestinale cancer, but there's no real proof at all, just musings it seems to me. And yes, that he has been isolating himself from others for fear of covid among other things. Personally I think it's just a bunch of propaganda. But could he really be dying? Sure. But then again any of us could be.

Would be interesting for sure

With as driven aand as odd Musk is… I’d not be surprised if he’s tested and has a 6th degree in Kraw and Levin as his personal instructor

Could be, but I doubt that Musk is driven in that direction. I suspect he has some strange habits and behaviors but don't think that is one of them. Who knows he could have the world's largest shoe collection.

Can't we all just take this for what it is....monumental trolling and humor? This just puts 'Elona' back in the news as he plays with people around the world. Smile

Ever notice that Putin swings his left arm when walking, but not his right? I am guessing for easy access to a firearm during his KGB years. There was an interesting documentary on Vice about his life. Provides historical insight into the man and explains how he got his position. Grew up rough on the streets on Leningrand or what is now called Saint Petersburg. Married an airline stewardess and had two girls. When the USSR broke up he lost his job with the KGB and drove a taxi.

Nope.

I don’t do peoples homework anymore. I used to give quick replies and the basis for my posts, but no longer. Now everybody wants fucking citations in triplicate, along with “approved” bibliographic sources.

I’ll give you a hint though.
How does Putin like to get rid of his opposition/enemies?

The main reason is his hypervigilance and lack of trust in others. The further they sit the better. He is sensitive to being poisoned as he has used that method in that past. Considering he was KGB then FSB he is very aware of methods to kill others.

As for Putin’s spacing - he knows he’s Satan among the demons. I’m surprised he gets closer than 21’ to anyone.

He didn’t get to where he is by trusting his subordinates not to try and kill him. He might be a murderous asshole, but he’s a very careful one.

I got $20 on Musk.

Putin's an old fart (apologies to our old farts). If he's close enough to use his judo, he's close enough to catch a throat punch.

That's a fair point, but before Brazilian Jujutsu came in, there was a lot of punch-and-kick guys who said the same thing. There's a whole new perspective on the grappling arts these days.
